He stared at the gifts he had bought her from Winsberg. She would have loved them. He wished he could see her face one last time. He missed her so much that it hurt. He held the gifts to his chest. He would keep them for her until she comes back.

“So, what do you think of the events of the day?”
.“What else apart from the fact that we are making progress?” She made a balloon with the gum in her mouth. She was changing and honestly, it was beginning to scare him but he knew it would be futile to complain.

“Yeah, I guess.”

“I do have one question. What next? All we have is a plate number, and no criminal is dumb enough to leave that same plate number on.”

“We also have the man’s description, remember?”

“How many people do you think have that same description in this city?”
As much as Zaid didn’t want to admit it, she did have a point. This was more difficult than he thought it would be.
