Dedicated to Humayrah_Gurama , for your love for this story.I think we should go see Mr Ibrahim.” Zaid said.
“Why?”
“Well, we need something unique about the man’s description or even the car.”
“You can go Zaid, today is Hannah’s birthday. I promised to be there, you don’t even really need me there.”
“Ok, have fun.” He shrugged his shoulders.

The moment he had been dreading had come to pass. Mr Othman managed to smile at the employees who came to see how he was doing. The last thing he needed was sympathetic looks and comments.Their spokeswoman was his secretary; she seemed to be the organizer of the group. He knew he was supposed to appreciate it, but seeing all these people made him feel pathetic. He offered them refreshments and listened to statements that sounded rehearsed. He felt glad when they left.

“Do you intend to keep hiding for the rest of your life?” Mubarak asked him. Their relationship seemed to have improved since the night of the incident, well, it was good as it could get.
“I haven’t thought of that but I am sure I don’t want to go back to that hospital.” Mubarak was glad Ibrahim answered him honestly without any hint of sarcasms. Maybe things were getting better afterall.
“Ibrahim.” He started. “I am sorry about what I did, I know I wronged you but trust me, I didn’t mean for that accident to happen. I was just a little jealous of you back then. I wish I could tell you that I was forced to betray you, but I did it on my own accord. It was the biggest mistake of my life.”“There is no doubt that saying sorry is not enough, but I cannot turn back the hands of time. If I could, I would have undone everything. I felt rotten after that, I hated myself. I plead that you would one day find a place in your heart to forgive me.”
“I know…” A knock on the door arrested the rest of the statement and as usual, they weren’t expecting any visitors. Mubarak collected himself as he went to open the door. Ibrahim was glad that the knock on the door had saved him from that awkward moment.
Mubarak, however, was surprised to see Said when he opened the door. “Oh! It’s you.”
“Good afternoon!” Said said cheerfully. Mubarak invited him in. Zaid saw that Ibrahim looked worse than he last saw him. The man looked as if he carried the weight of the whole world on his shoulders.
“Good morning.” Ibrahim said, his eyes brightening a little.
Ibrahim offered him a seat.
“Thank you!”
“So, found anything?” Ibrahim asked casually.
“Well, it appears a woman saw what happened. She gave us a description and the car plate number.”
“Where is your sister?”
“She had matters to attend to.” Zaid continued. “I was hoping that you could give us something unique about the car or the man.”
Ibrahim tried to remembered something, he was confused at that moment and so didn’t really take in tiny details. Think! He said to himself.
“A scratch on the van maybe; a scar on the man, anything at all.”
“I didn’t notice the small details but the van was black.”
“Can’t you remember anything else? The woman didn’t get a good look of his face.”
“well, the van did look kind of new.”
“Why didn’t the woman report to the police?” Mubarak asked.
“She didn’t even know herself but she mentioned something about trying to protect her family. She saw something that could endanger her life.”
“Sounds a little selfish to me.” Mubarak voiced his opinions.
“Maybe but she had to measure the cons and pons.” Zaid defended her.
Zaid’s phone began to ring, it was Banan calling him. He picked up “Hey!”“Zaid, you’d better come here immediately, where are you now?” Her voice was shaky.
“At Ibrahim’s”. He replied confused.
“You should come with them; there is something you need to see.” She said.
“Where are you?”
“Near the old demolished hotel in Cleveland road.”
“Banan, are you crazy? What the hell were you doing there?”
“We were supposed to have the party there. Zaid you need to come urgently.”
Zaid summarized their conversation to them. They got into Mubarak’s car and sped along the road.He was half angry, why would Banan agree to go to such a place? And then, he wondered what she had seen. If something bad happened to Banan too, he would never be able to forgive himself. When they reached the old hotel, he called Banan.
“Zaid, can you see the house opposite the hotel?”
“Yes.”, he said.
“I’m in there.”
“Banan, this better be good.” He warned.
Zaid,Ibrahim and Mubarak all walked into the house, they all couldn’t see Banan anywhere. What was she up to? Zaid hoped it wasn’t a prank because only God would be able to save her if it was. They walked further into the house and then they spotted Banan standing next to a tree. Her back turned to them.“Banan!”. Zaid called. “what is going on here? Didn’t you say it was a party?”
Almost immediately, unknown people began to swarm in and in the blink of an eye, they were surrounded. “What the...”Banan turned to face them with a smile on her face; a scary smile Zaid had never seen her wear before. His eyes dropped to the gun in her grasp. He didn’t even try to fight when they dragged him, Ibrahim and Mubarak away.
