We just finished a medley relay and we lost. Was I affected by it? Not so much, we did great and we came second. This time Alex's team beat us but whatever, I still had a big smile on my face. Medley relays became a habit, we finished all the training with it. Vic wanted us to change the people we teamed up with every time and I was sneaky enough to pair up with Emmeric most of the times. Sometimes, Vic forced us to switch up but I liked to protest and he just rolled his eyes, not putting a fight with me, just calling me a kid.
"You did great!" smiled Emmeric, giving me a hug.
"You did too!" I exclaimed, holding him close with a cheeky smile before taking advantage of our proximity to tickle his sides and he exploded in a fit of giggles.
One week has passed since I found him crying in a stall and we bonded a lot after that. I don't even know how I could have lived without a cool guy like him before. It's as if I had known him for my whole life when in reality, it was just a new friendship. I thought our friendship would take a lot of time to build up, but not at all. I had broken his shy façade pretty quickly and he let me enter his world which was amazing. Such a shame nobody knew him like I knew him. He was so kind, talented and open-minded; I really liked him. Justin told me to be careful with him because he could see the look of adoration Emmeric gave me every time he looked at me. I wasn't blind and although I was aware of it, I couldn't stop myself to spend most of my time with Emmeric.
"Stop it, stop it!" Emmeric repeated, trying to catch his breath.
"Why? I just take revenge for yesterday," I said, continuing my assault of tickles.
"I didn't tickle you for so long!" he protested as he grasped my hands in a failed attempt to stop me.
"Training is finished," Vic's voice announced loudly and that's when I finally stopped.
Emmeric and I turned on our heel at the same time. Our teammates weren't really paying attention to us, they were already used to see us having this kind of behavior. Plus, they were completely familiar with my overexcited temper from day one, so we weren't frowned upon. Other guys even started to talk to Emmeric and even if he still blushed furiously when someone was speaking to him, he enjoyed the new attention.
There was just Vic who scolded us from time to time when we weren't listening to his instructions. Although he was kinder than before, he was still a bossy trainer who didn't accept blabbering when he was talking. We had to listen and shut our mouth, being docile and serious, which was hard when Emmeric and I had so much to talk about.
"See you tomorrow, good luck for your lesson," Emmeric said to me before going to the changing room with others while I stood there, nervously.
Yes, me, Kellin, the bouncy guy, nervous. That's just how my extra lessons became since I found out I had a crush on Vic. Being alone with him was something that I enjoyed and hated at the same time. I loved to have butterflies flooding around my stomach and to feel my heart pumping quickly. Yes, the feeling was amazing. Nonetheless, interpreting all his movements and mine, being self-conscious over nothing wasn't cool. Usually, my crushes just lasted some hours. Most of the time, I formed crushes at parties and released my needs with the guy, kissing the hell out of him. Sometimes, I found myself kissing them again at the next party but my feelings always faded quickly. It just was physical attraction and raging hormones. With Vic, it was different. I felt attracted to him for something more. Sure, I've noticed he was good looking from day one, yet I didn't develop a crush on him. I'd never stared at him the way I was doing right now as I made my way to him.
Since the weather got colder with the days, we were in the indoor pool and we wouldn't swim outside for a long time. The sunlight piercing through the window from the ceiling highlighted the beautiful color of his hair. They were kind of wavy, but there wasn't a curl meaning he would swim after my extra lesson. I was aware that knowing his swimming schedule wasn't so incredible, still, it always brought me happiness.
