Ms. Wells had returned from her vacation and I very much missed being around her cats all the time and just being in her house in general. Sure, it sounds sort of weird, but I loved that lady to death, I liked to consider her my grandmother, well, because, I didn't really know my grandparents. They died when I was little, and I've never been close to my parents. Kennedy is their favorite, by far. Our whole friend group knows it. Hell, sometimes I think Robin and Aubrie are more liked by my parents than me sometimes. I mean, they say the gay community are some of the most accepting people you'll ever meet, but I can always tell my dads are a little disappointed I didn't turn out like them. They still accept me none the less, just sometimes, I can sense that they were hoping for something just a little different. Continuing on, I just love Ms. Wells. She's just so sweet and has such a can-do attitude.

That was why I enjoyed being around her so much. In fact, there is a reason I'm sitting where I am this very moment, in her living room, enjoying her oh so lovely company. I sat in a ball on her couch, hugging Luna to my chest as I pet the black and white cat. Out of all of Ms. Wells' cats, luna is my favorite. Don't get me wrong, I love all of her cats, but Luna and I have a connection. I don't know what it is, but we just click.

Ms.Wells had been going on about her grandson, who didn't sound like a bad guy, said he went off into town to explore.

"Not much to explore is there? I mean we do live in Rhode Island." I shrugged. "It's a small place."

"I'm sure he'll enjoy it none the less." She smiled, her happiness radiating off her body. "He's much like me, and for people like us, there's always something."

"If he's like you, then I have to meet him." I paused for a moment to think. "Does he know the secret recipe for your famous hot chocolate as well?" My voice went a little higher as I became more curious about the situation.

"Nope, what a shame, no one knows. Only I do. And I will take this secret to the grave. I swear it." She made a show of crossing her fingers over her heart and then smiled warmly over at me again. I smiled back, and the conversation seemed to come to an end.

"Well, I must be going." I nodded, pulling Luna off of my lap and placing her on the ground as I stood up. "Plus, Coffee sounds good right about now, I might go down to Starbucks." I shrugged. "Want me to grab you something?" I asked out of politeness.

"No, it's fine Bailey, I suppose I will see you around then?" She asked as I made my way to the door.

"Like always Ms.Wells, you cant get rid of me that easily!" I laughed out as I left the quaint house and starting walking towards my house, I decided I would take the car, because well, why not? I already had my wallet, keys, and phone, so I didn't stop inside my house, but instead just hopped in the vehicle, started it up, and made my way to the delicious smelling coffee shop.

The roads were practically clear, aside from the kids running around near their houses. It was a nice day out and I could see why everyone was so happy. Summer had finally hit, and all the kids were running, free of school work and deadlines. A time when there are no responsibilities. It's nice. I miss it. Being an adult is hard. I wish I was a kid sometimes, so I didn't have to deal with all the stupid responsibilities of being an adult.

I pulled into the Starbucks parking lot, turning off my car and making my way into the smallish building. The smell of fresh ground coffee beans filled the air. I wish it smelled like this all the time. I wish my house smelled like this. Maybe I should higher a Starbucks worker to work at my house and make ground coffee beans. Problem solved, solution found!

I walked towards the counter, waving hello to the barista as she welcomed me. Our town was rather small, almost everyone knows each other. "Katherine" I nodded, smiling.

"Bailey." She smirked, raising an eyebrow at me. "The usual?"

"It would be greatly appreciated." I returned the smirk she gave me. I handed her the money, and then stood patiently tapping my foot as I waited for my drink. Kat served out my drink, sliding the vanilla bean frappe across the counter. "Thank you." I said curtly, taking the drink in my hand as I turned around to leave.

Suddenly some other dumb witted person bumbed into me, knocking both of our drinks onto ourselves. "Are you fucking serous man?" I scowled as the cold drink spilled over my black hoodie. I looked up from my zipped up hoodie to look at the person in front of me. A man, who was taller than me, but not by much. He had dirty brown hair that sat a top his head, it was slightly wavy and looked like a mess. He was probably a druggy or something other, I hadn't seen him before and it would make sense. That made my eyes trail up towards his now. They were a mix of all sorts of greens and browns, forming a very strong hazel color. His face was also covered in freckles, an interesting combination.

"Chill, it was an accident, you don't have to be so pissy about it asshole." The man in front of me huffed.

"Whatever." I stuck my tongue out and made my way towards the counter snatching some napkins and sitting down somewhere afterwards to wipe myself off. I watched the stranger walk off towards the bathroom. I pulled out my phone, opening kik, I needed to rant.
