Camila's POV:

It's been fifteen years, and I still remember the feeling of her strong arms wrapped around me and the feeling of her lips pressed against mine when she came home from Afghanistan for the first time. I was only twenty one then, with the only two kids. Then the time after that when I was twenty three, and the time after that when I was thirty three. Now, as I see her coming towards me with that big charming smile that I fell in love with... My heart still pounded hard if not harder than all the previous times. "Mama!" The twins cried and ran out to greet her first.

Time when by like the blink of an eye with them. Dane was around my wife's height of 5'6 with midnight black hair from me, the light blue eyes from Lakyn even though my brown eyes were more dominant. Over the years, her tan skin turned the identical color of Lakyn's as well. She also excelled in sports just like Lakyn as well. She was on the varsity soccer and basketball team. Lakyn worked with her at soccer because she was being scouted by professionals and colleges already. Axel and Dane were polar opposites, Axel was like me, he was musically inclined. He was a brilliant writer and loved to read. He inherited Lakyn's hair and height, but everything else was from me. I've taken him to the studio a few times when Simon has asked me to come in to write songs for other artists. He absolutely loves working with the instruments and writing with me.

Right now, seeing my wife hugging them as tight as possible was heart warming. "Hey were back," Dinah cheered wrapping her arms around my other two kids in her arms. Danielle, who was born a year and a half after Daniel passed away, she was almost fifteen, and then our youngest, another girl, Carson was almost thirteen. She was born while Lakyn was on her second tour this time in Syria. They held her over in London coming home and my water broke while she was on the plane.

"Mama!" Danielle and Carson rush over to her. Dane and Axel made room for their younger siblings and that's when tears leaked from my eyes.

"Awe, Mila," my former group hugged me tight as I cried happily. All the tours were finally over, and she was safe. I wiped my eyes as she walked over to me. Her bright smile made me laugh as I wrapped my arms around her neck tightly and cried into her chest.

"Hey beautiful," she whispered in my ear making me smack her shoulder lightly at her constant charm. I got myself together and looked up at her.

"Hello soldier," I responded making her lean down and kiss me softly. "I missed you..." I told her while taking ahold of her hands and swinging them back and forth.

"I missed you too," she ran her fingers through my hair before pulling off her backpack and opening it. She dug through it and pulled out a small box. "Happy late anniversary love, I picked that up about a month ago going through one of the stands set up in Rawalpindi. Our convoy was on our way back to Kabul. It reminded me of you." She actually remembered... Even when she was overseas in constant danger, she never forgot.

I opened the lid revealing a beautiful pair of light blue earrings with spirals intersecting each other. "I love the color," I breathed out with a smile.

"Yes that's why I got them for you, I have stuff for the kids, but they're gonna have to wait until we get home," she said loud enough for all of them to hear knowing they were waiting to see what their gift was. Every time she was on tour, she came back with a gift for each of them.

"Awe ma, you're so cold," Dane pouted making the soldier scoff and roll her eyes playfully.

"Then we should go before they die from the suspense," she teased making all the kids run off towards the car. Lakyn hugged the girls and greeted them before we all walked to the cars together.
