Kellin drove Vic to his apartment, the more fancy place than his own. He had spent nights on their sofa, in his own bed or in a chair at the hospital.
Nobody had been willing to drive him out, the way he remained loyally at Vic's side. It was sweet. Nurses in that hospital were suckers for love stories like that, even when he denied it as a love story. Or at least, that's what Kellin told Vic what happened. Kellin drove into a parking lot and they got out. He locked the car and walked around it to get closer to Vic. "They still think I'm about to die?" Vic questioned. Kellin winced. He'd prefer it if nobody would ever talk about that whole ordeal anymore, probably.
"They do. C'mon," he said, tugging on Vic's hand in his. Vic chuckled. He was excited to see them again.
"Alright, Kell, only because you say so," he said. They went up to the apartment and rang the bell, Kellin having forgotten his keys.
"It's probably Kellin again," they heard Jaime say through the door. Vic stifled a chuckle. Mike was the one who opened and honestly, he looked like he could faint the moment he saw Vic back on his feet. He nearly flew at his brother, hugging him tightly.
"Vic!" he cried. Kellin awkwardly chewed on his lip.
"V-Vic? Vic!" Jaime followed, hugging the brothers. Tony joined them lastly. It was evening, James was already asleep – in Vic's bed.
"It's weekend, I think he can get up for a moment to greet his older brother who has been in a coma for eight weeks," Kellin commented drily. Vic nodded. He missed James. The boy often appeared in his dreams, crying and wishing for him to return. He shivered.
"Are you alright? Is it too much? You don't have to do it tonight," Kellin told him softly. Vic smiled a little.
"I'm fine Kells, honest." Kellin gave him one last concerned look. "Don't look at me like that." Kellin merely chuckled, leading Vic to his bedroom. James wasn't even asleep. He jumped up and hugged Vic tightly. The older brother actually found himself tearing up a little at the sight of his little brother.
"James, go sleep."
"Where?" Vic chuckled.
"Here. We'll be fine on the sofas." He barely remembered to add the extra s at the end. Kellin chuckled. Why would he even hide it? He'd seen Tony's glances at Mike. Mike's glances at Tony. And lonely little Jaime didn't even hide the fact that he was a fully LGBT supporter.
James was gay himself.
"Okay," James muttered, going back to bed. The two returned to the living room, where Tony, Mike and Jaime were invested in Mario Kart. At least Tony and Jaime were. Mike was just watching.
"How's Mother?" Vic asked his brother cautiously. Mike shrugged.
"They found drugs and a lot of alcohol at her place. James isn't allowed to return until she's sober and the house is clear of everything," he explained.
"Cool."
The night they spent laughing, playing video games and catching up. All five of them woke up on sofas, Kellin using Vic as a pillow, Tony and Mike being adorable and Jaime with his phone, because his phone was his true love at that moment and he had made pictures.
While they slept of course.
A/N: Whelp, this wasn't long or anything. Just a little thing with a happy ending. Damn, I needed a happy ending after all those sad fics I've read. I still have three bonus chapters left, but I won't post them for now.
It will remain on completed until then. See ya!
