Kellin held Vic for what seemed like ages, but the moment he finally pulled away felt too early.

"I know I'm being selfish," Vic whispered, eyes focused on the ground.

Kellin placed a hand on Vic's shoulder in the hope to calm him a little. "I just don't want to return there." His voice was soft, broken.

"Hey, Vic... We don't want to force you," Kellin whispered back, carefully letting his hand run up and down Vic's arm. He assumed Vic would flinch away from him, but the smaller man remained on his spot.

"It's just... She abused me in there. I once tried to die in there... I..."

"What?" Kellin raised his voice at those words. His eyes widened. "Vic..." Vic sighed, rolling up his sleeve. Kellin lowered his hand and gasped at the sight of the scars littered over Vic's arm.

"I quit when we left. Life seemed to go better... I'm sinking back again, Kells. I can't do this. I can't return there. She hurt me there. I hurt myself there..." Kellin sighed and hugged Vic again.

"Vic, I can't know what you've been through. I won't ever know, probably. But it's over. Make new memories. Good ones," he told him softly. They stood in silence for a moment before Kellin's phone buzzed.

"Justin." He couldn't help but feel a little disappointed.

Where are you? The guys are already here, Kell

Kellin released a long sigh, hair falling into his face as he returned a message.

Change of plan. Cute guy troubles, y'know

He pressed send but remained careful so that Vic wouldn't see it.

Did the thing yet?

Kellin pushed back a chuckle.

Actual troubles. Family shit

Alright. See you

He closed his phone and looked at Vic with a little pout. "Friends are crazy," he commented drily. Vic cracked a small smile.

"Tell me something," he replied. Kellin snickered.

"They expect me to bang every guy because that's apparently what they'd do in my position. They're a bit..." His voice trailed off pointedly.

Vic laughed. It was a pleasant sound. He should laugh more, Kellin decided.

"Come on. Your friends are probably worried," he then said, reaching out to place his arm around the smaller guy's shoulders but deciding against it. He finally had gotten Vic back into a good mood, he didn't need Vic to hate him.

"There you are," Tony sighed when the two entered.

"Vic, we-," Jaime started, but Kellin shot him a warning look and he shut his mouth quickly. Kellin then patted Vic on the shoulder.

"It's been a long day," he stated. "Sleep." He calmly led Vic to Vic's bedroom and turned on his heels to actually come home when a hand grabbed his arm.

"Stay," Vic told him for the second time that day.

"Should I get a chair, or..," he replied, trailing off as Vic sat down on the kingsize bed and patted the spot beside him.

"That'd be uncomfortable," the smaller man yawned.

Kellin nodded before stiffly sitting at the edge of the bed. He was awkward about this. He always was, sleeping in a bed with a friend guy. Not boyfriend. He always was anxious about being too close, too loud, moved too much.

In the end, he sat with his back into a pillow, but pushed against the headboard. Vic watched him cautiously from his spot nestled into the blankets. Did the smaller boy already regret his decision?

But those terrified thoughts left when Vic grabbed his hand and curled up at his side. He breathed quietly, relaxing. It didn't seem like he had slept well lately, so Kellin wanted him to. Just once.

--

When Kellin snapped awake, it was still the middle of the night. Vic wasn't there, though. Panic filled his sleep-drunk brain and he rushed through the apartment. He found his friend nowhere.

The balcony, he realized. But what would Vic do-Oh. Kellin nearly raced to the balcony and almost pulled the door out in his haste to get to Vic. Vic sat on the railing with a grievous smile.

"Vic! No!" Kellin whisper-yelled, unwilling to wake up anyone. Vic caught his eyes and almost gasped.

"K-Kellin... Go sleep," he whispered. Kellin shook his head and clutched Vic's hands in his, tightly holding onto the smaller man.

"Vic, don't jump," he replied softly.

"I have to, Kells, I'm useless. I don't deserve to live. I want to go. I wanted to go quietly with nobody knowing until I had died," Vic confessed. Kellin's eyes widened.

"Vic, don't, please. I care about you." Vic shook his head.

"No. Just let me do what I want these last moments of my life, alright?"

"Don't die..."

"Not yet," his friend whispered before leaning forward.

A/N yes it sucks a bit but I have to get this up again idk why I just feel the need to put things up first before editing because FEEDBACK

Please don't be scared to give feedback.

I'm scared that all my "reads" is only me going through multiple times to see if I made mistakes and I want to get better at English honestly. If given nicely, corrections actually help me.
