We trailed behind Queen Melody to the Alter, where we found the 9 gems,each evenly spaced around the centre of the room. "Here it is, the evolution alter. I am noble, so you may go first" Melody says, before eying us suspiciously. "You May go first, your majesty" I said, putting a paw out to stop Crimson from doing anything irrational. They were nice to us, it's only fair we're nice to them. "It seems chivalry isn't completely dead in the kingdom of darkness" she said, smiling ever so faintly, and earning me a cute grin from the young Eevee behind her, but still getting a horribly disgusted look from the Kirlia
"What the heck Nightmare?" Crimson growled as Queen Melody was out of earshot. "Your father better not hear about this..." Ash trailed off. "Don't worry, he doesn't have to know, and besides, it's not like we're meant to act like savages. They were here first, and they helped us, it's the right thing to do." I replied. Both Crimson and Ash just growled, knowing I was right, even if they didn't like it. I turned to see the young Eevee accompanying Queen Melody standing in front of a pink crystal, Sylveon I think, disappear in a blinding flash. What was in her place was a beautiful pink Sylveon with purple stripes down her ribbons, and amazing, lime green, dazzling eyes...

"Crimson to Nightmare. Come in Nightmare" Crimson grumbled, attempting to get my attention. "Sorry what did you say?" I asked, puzzled. "Why are you staring at her?" Oh... this is awkward... "um... no... reason..." I replied, convincing nobody. This was not going well, I have to think of a away out soon... "No, your not... are you?.." Crimson looked at me, horrified "No, no, it's not like... what I mean is... um... it's..." I try to say, before giving up and sighing. "No, my heart belongs to you..." I said, trying to quickly reassure her. I thought I had, I was almost in the clear, before she shed a tear, and turned away. "Crimson, wait!" I yelled, as she ran off. "Dude, you really stuffed up" Ash says, laughing. "You think I don't know that!" I yelled at him. He continued laughing, then remarked "If your dad hears about this your screwed." I shoot him a dirty look, then calmed down enough to speak without yelling. "Yeah, but you won't tell him, and judging by the direction Crimson left she heading to her friends in the Fire kingdom". Yep, that's right, she can go wherever, but I can't leave the kingdoms walls. Thanks a lot Dad. I see a flash of light in my peripheral vision, but when I turned to the alter an Orange Pokémon dashed away before I could Identify it, was that Crimson...?
"I believe it's your turn" Queen Melody says, slightly more nicely than before. "Thanks" said, the newly evolved Sylveon, giggling. "When you take the throne, maybe our kingdoms may have a chance at peace" Melody said, bowing her head ever so slightly. "Good luck, Nightmare" I started to walk over to the alter, before tuning to the Queen. "How do you know my name?" "I know many things, some you couldn't dream of knowing" she winked. Weird I thought, before tuning to the black stone. I pressed my paw against it, and closed my eyes due to the bright light that flashed around me, blinding me, maybe now, as the same species, my father will acknowledge me... "We're not going to ever speak about this, are we?" I said to Ash, who seemed bewildered at what had happened "No, this'll stay between us..."
