"Goodbye" I said to Nightmare as I turned to leave. I really like him, more than I could admit. I... wanted him. He was smart, witty and cute... yeah... never mind. He was much better than any other mate my Mother suggested. I want him... NO... need him. I snapped back to reality, and stopped, wondering if I should bring him with us. "No, Mother would never allow it" I thought out loud. "But didn't she say... um... should I... ok, I know what to do. I'll ask Mother beforehand, then she won't get upset" I again spoke out loud. I started to keep walking, but again, stopped, this time walking back towards Nightmare. These feelings, there tearing me apart. Forget this, I'm following him, I don't care what happens, but I'll wait outside, hoping he'll show himself soon.

This will probably be the only author note in this book, so I'll make it brief. From this moment on I will switch between perspectives to add more detail and shed some light on different things. The title will now say who the chapter is focused on, not the persons perspective. See ya!
-Nightmare out!{Nightmare}
I ran towards the Kingdom, using a sudden burst of insane speed to catch up to Ash while he too was running, the first time I was beating him in a foot race. He was so surprised by this that he lost focus, tripped, and ran into a tree, forcing a laugh from me. "How are you so fast?" He asked, rubbing his head. "I don't know" I replied. "My body feels full of energy." I stop and realise how silly that sounds, but to my surprise he was understanding. "I felt the same when I evolved, your abilities will increase tenfold, and you'll feel much stronger than before." He said, before turning to the kingdom gates as we arrive. "Talk about this later"We walked past Frokie, guard 17, one who's stopped me many times as I've tried to leave and walked up to the castle, through the crowds who where creeping me out. They were avoiding us and eyeing us like we were some sort of freaks, which definitely confused me. Ash opened the castle doors and ushered me in. We didn't speak the whole way up, as we both thought something was terribly wrong. We walked up to the throne room, to be faced with my dad staring at me with anger, or disbelief or grief I wasn't sure. I noticed I was taller than him, not by much, but noticeably taller, and he could see that as well. Could that be fear in his eyes because of that, was he afraid I was stronger? I remember how I was used to almost overpower him as an Eevee, but now, I'm bigger, stronger, faster. It was fear, more than anything else, I could almost sense it within him. I was about to ask what was wrong, when an orange tail snaked its way around the throne, as an Espeon I wished I would never see again walked from behind it and sat next to my father, a smug and evil, her eyes... where entirely black with small white pupils. "Son...." he said, showing for once genuine concern, before it all melted away into raw anger. "You have some nerve showing up here after that! That stunt you pulled, betraying the kingdom, your title, my honour! You don't deserve to be here, you can run off to your little fairy girlfriend! Get him out of the kingdom! And kill the Absol!"
{Shimmer}
I walked near the darkness kingdom, wondering how I can contact Nightmare without alerting the rest of the kingdom. A good ten minutes past as I thought about many different ways of doing it, before the kingdom gates started to open. I hid behind a bush, not realizing 2 of my ribbons were poking out. "NO!" I heard someone yell, a voice that sounded familiar, but vague and full of torment as they were thrown out of the castle. I stayed hidden hoping not to be noticed. Sobbing was audible as the gate slammed closed, and the figure stood outside my field of vision, before I moved my head to stay hidden, but get a better view.I saw an Umbreon, the same one I had just met, but feel as if I've known him all my life. I was about to call his name before I made the best move ever and snapped a twig, nice going. The noise made him turn his head, not towards me, but enough to see his beautiful yellow eyes. His eyes glowed a dazzling blue for about a second, as he called out "Shimmer... I know your there... come out..." he sobbed, while walking towards me. "What happened? Are you okay?" I queried, while putting a ribbon on his shoulder and attempted projecting a calming aura through it, as my mother used to do to me during times of stress. How I'd figured it out, I don't know, but I had. "I... don't.... Crimson... father... Ash..." he rambled. "Shadow" He Exclaimed as is eyes lit up again, this time a deep red, his body recoiling, causing me to back away in fear. "Who's Shadow?" I said, weary of what had just happened. "I... don't... know..." he squeaked. "It just... appeared in my head..."
He broke down and started sobbing again. "Where will I stay now..." he choked, still crying. "Come on..." I said, once again attempting to calm him, this time making him smile, although just a slither, his tears slowing ever so slightly. "If my mother will allow it you can stay with us." He stopped crying and looked up to me, our muzzles touching. "Thank you... Shimmer, that would be amazing"
