I finally have done a picture of Ivy using her silver helix ability. Her ability is earth type in the subcategory of flora, meaning she has power over plants. Specifically, she can make plants grow or die. She can summon plants to her side and use her powers to meld them into any shape she wants like in Lily of the Shadows when she almost strangled Hadrix with a tree. Ivy is half naga, a creature from Indian mythology typically categorized as a serpent or serpentine person, typically female. She is also half Minotaur, a creature from Greek mythology with the body of a man and the head of a bull. Her Father Magnus is a silver helix of earth but in the stone and ground category. Her mother carried the non expressive gene for earth type abilities, meaning her mother carried the gene for the ability but did not have powers herself. Often with silver helix genetics, if a parent carries the gene but doesn't have the powers, the gene is recessive and has a 1/4 chance of expressing itself (offspring has powers) and a 3/4 chance of not expressing itself. If the gene expresses itself, it mutates into the silver helix dominant trait which means if a person is born with powers, the powers will almost always be passed down. This works in the case of Kaeoryn, Manx's father, and how Manx has the powers but her mother has no genetic history of silver helix abilities in her side of the family. And since the gene is dominant in Manx, any children she has will have a 100% chance of inheriting her powers. Anywho, enough with the genetic technicalities. Let me show you the drawing of Ivy using her powers.
