I stumbled over to a figure that looked like Dominic. He turned and as soon as I saw his hazel eyes I squealed in excitement. I'd finally found him.

"Dommmmminiiiiiiiic," I slurred and laughed.

He shook his head and grabbed my hands.

"Ow. Don't hurt me," I joke and follow as he pulls me outside.

"Dommmminiiiiic wait. I don't think I can walk," I say and become dead weight. He picked me up right before I hit the ground and sighed.

"You know I didn't want you to get drunk right, Mercy," he said seriously.

I pout.

"If you hadn't been messing around, I'd a been sober! Besides I deseeeerrrrreve it," I sang and busted out laughing.

He kissed his teeth and put me in the car. Before I even had time to buckle up, I felt my stomach flip a couple of times. I gagged and my hand flew over my mouth as my body face out of the car.

"You need to throw up? I don't need you puking in my ride, Mercy."

I nod and he helps me back out and holds my hair while I throw up on the car next to us.

"I don't ever want to drink again," I whine as I throw up some more.

"Yeah yeah just puke it up, Ma. You'll be okay."

I puked two more times and then I was done. He left for about five minutes and came back out with three bottles of water. He handed me one as he got in.

"Drink up. I think we've had plenty of fun before the actual party. When we get back, we gon take a quick nap. Sound good?"

I nod my head but I'm slowly dozing off. We made it to the house and Dominic had to carry me out. I couldn't move — I was so tired. Even as he took me to his room, I could barely keep my eyes open.

"Imma get you undressed and then you can sleep. Okay, Ma," he says laying me down.

"Don't try anything buuuuud," I whisper and begin laughing uncontrollably.

He chuckled and mumbled something before taking everything off of me except my bra and underwear. My hands flew to my chest, hiding a scar from him. I watched as he took his shirt off and handed it on me. Without wasting time, I put it on and yawned.

"Yup that's good," he said putting the covers over me. For a while he looked at me and I couldn't tell what he was thinking. Just as I thought maybe he was going to do something, he walked towards the door.

"Imma be downstairs okay..."

I shake my head and pout.

"I get scared being alone," I whine, "Stay — please Dom?"

He looked me over and then sighed in defeat. I pulled him into bed with me and laid on his shoulder. A minute after laying on his shoulder, I fell asleep.

...

I woke up to a mean ass headache. Music was booming downstairs and I could hear loud voices just outside the door. Not to mention the bright lights were just giving me hell. I could feel my brain pulsating. Whatever was wrong with me was not okay.

I slowly sat up and rubbed my head almost on the verge of tears.

I heard the door open and in walked Marcus.

"Oh you're up," he said grabbing a cup and an Advil bottle off the dresser.

He handed both to me.

"Dominic told me to come check on you. Said you had too much alcohol at the bar," he said chuckling a bit.

I nod my head slowly and take a pill. Before I knew it, I'd downed the cup of water.

"Can you turn off the lights," I whisper.

Even my own voice seemed loud to me. This has been my first and my last time drinking alcohol. I'd rather get high again.

Marcus walked over to the light and turned it off. It was dark as night, but my head felt better. I stand up and make my way over to what I'm hoping is the bathroom.

I take a piss, brush my teeth, and put my hair up in a messy bun. When I came back out I felt like I really couldn't see.

"Um you still in here Marcus," I asked kind of paranoid.

"Yeah, hold on," he said back.

He turned the lights on causing me to wince.

"Turn em off," I yell.

Almost immediately, the lights were off again.

"I'll just come over to you. Don't move, okay Mer," he said.

I nod as I hear his footsteps getting closer. A second later I felt his hand grab mine. I flinch for a second until I could clearly make out his face.

"You want to try and turn the lights back on? Because it's even brighter downstairs, Mer," he said walking me to the bed.

"Fine," I mumble.

I stand by the bed and watch Marcus walk towards the light. The second time he turned on the lights it wasn't as bad but I still felt like blowing my brains out.

"This sucks," I moan in pain.

"So we've learned a very valuable lesson, haven't we Mer," he asked jokingly.

"Whatever. I don't even remember most of what happened."

We both sit on the bed waiting until the pills start to kick in. I wanted to go downstairs with everyone else. Instead I was stuck up here with a hangover.

"You could've gotten alcohol poisoning or something. Gotta be careful kid."

"I'm only a couple of months younger than you, shut up. Also, I know...it was a one time thing," I say loudly groaning in pain.

A tear falls from my eye, rolling down my cheek. Marcus sighs and wipes it away, laying my head on his lap. I'm confused as he starts rubbing my head for me. He notices and laughs at me.

"What's that look for? I'm just helping. I have had my own fair shares of hangovers. I'm like the massage expert too so just chill. Let Marcus do what Marcus does," he said smirking confidently.

He massages my head for a while relieving some of the tension while the drugs finally kicked in and helped. Once I started feeling better I got up.

"Let's go downstairs now. I'm pretty sure I'm missing most of the party," I say smiling.

He smiles back and I follow him downstairs.
