It's been about a week since Yui got herself locked up in that basement room, and you couldn't help wondering what kind of a toll that was having on her. You'd also heard the brothers talking about her well being considering the large amount of blood they were demanding of her, all because of that plan or whatever. In all honesty, you didn't like Yui one bit, but you could relate to that feeling of being all on your own. You also knew what it felt like to be used by every single person surrounding you, and that was something you wouldn't wish for anyone. Well, maybe Laito, but that was something completely different.
As of current, you were walking down the halls of the Mukami mansion. Apart from Yui you were completely alone in the house and even though you were well aware that the brothers would return home at any moment, you were too tired to wait up for them. As a matter of fact, you were spacing out pretty royally. It was even to the point where you didn't even pay attention to your surrounding, because all your energy was directed at walking straight and not going the wrong way in this maze-like mansion.
Suddenly, a hand was placed on your shoulders, bringing your attention back to reality as you did a quick spin to face whoever had approached you. Before you stood none other than Yuma Mukami, not that you had been expected anyone else. "You there? I tried to call out to you just now, but you didn't respond. Are you alright?" he asked with a slight hint of worry in his voice, making you feel a bit bad that you had basically ignored him just now. "S-Sorry! I'm a bit tired, guess I was just spacing out" you said with an apologetic look covering your features as you mentally cursed yourself for stuttering.
"It's fine, but if you don't mind I'd like to talk to you about something" he then said, his cheeks becoming tinted with a light pink mid-sentence as he broke the eye contact you were having. "Sure, what's up?" you say, tilting your head ever so slightly in attempt to get back in his field of vision. After hearing your reply he took a deep breath before yet again looking straight at you with a determined look in his eye as the blush only grew darker by the second.
After a short silence he took a step forward, getting really close to you before grabbing your arm with one hand and placing the other on your cheek. Not having been prepared for the sudden action you flinch pretty visibly out of shock. Upon seeing this, something changed in his eyes, as they turned from determined into something you could not quite read, before he retracted his hands from you carefully and looking down.
"Sorry, we can take it tomorrow. You said you were tired, right? Get some sleep" he said with a hint of deject evident in his voice. Even if you could tell that he was somewhat disappointed with your reaction, you couldn't seem to understand why. "Yeah, I guess you're right...I'll see you tomorrow, then" you said, a bit upset with yourself for having made him sad without even knowing why. "Goodnight" he said, a fake smile plastered on his lips as if he was trying to reassure you. At that, you simply nodded before turning around and continuing to walk towards you room.
Once you reached your destination however, the drowsiness you were previously struggling with seemed to have flown out the window. Instead, your mind was racing trying to figure out what Yuma had been trying to say earlier. Judging by his expression, it had seemed important and you couldn't help feeling bad for having troubled him so much.
Not finding much of an answer in that chaotic brain of yours, you instead decided to go take a bath to try to calm yourself down and hopefully getting the sleep you needed. As you felt the water from the tub envelope you in its' warmth, your mind once again went blank, as if all your worries were washed away together with the sweat and dirt covering your body. Swept away by the clean water of the freshly poured bath.
After having left the bathtub and performing the rest of your evening routine, you felt sleepiness yet again overtaking you. Noticing this, you decided to head out of your bathroom and back into your room, in order to go to bed and get some well needed sleep. But, as you entered your bathroom it became apparent that somebody had different ideas. There, in the middle of your room stood someone whose very existence made you quake in fear: Laito Sakamaki.
You're too shocked by his presence to even react, and once your sleepy self manages to understand that you should probably be running, that option was out of the question. He came up to you, harshly grabbing you by the arm, probably leaving bruises. As it looked as if he was about to say something your door suddenly flew open. Your eyes landed on a frantic Yuma, eyes wide in panic. Then he was gone, and before you was the living room of the Sakamaki mansion.
Soon after you were thrown forward by the man harshly gripping your arm, making you collapse on the floor. Watching the scene unfold was all the brothers from the Sakamaki family, apart from Ayato. Before you had time to react, much less get up from your lying position, Laito had yet again walked up to you, grabbing a fistfull of your shirt and using it to push you down on the floor, keeping you in the rather pathetic position you were currently in.
"Here's the deal, slut. I don't appreciate you running of like that, and frankly, having to go get you is a pain" he said, his voice darker and angrier than what you were used to from him, indicating that this had really grinded his gears. "Have I made myself clear?" he asked harshly while pushing harder right beneath your collarbones, making it difficult to breath.
"Yes" you managed to squeak out, your voice coming out in falsetto, sounding completely terrified. "Good" he stated, his voice going back to the one he would usually use, before he released your shirt and stood up. He then started walking out of the room, before abruptly stopping, not even turning around to look at you as he spoke. "Oh, and don't forget who you owe for getting you out of there" he said, and even though his back was turned to you, you could even hear him smirking as he said it, before exiting the room completely.
Realizing the situation you had gotten back into, you felt a stray tear begin rolling down your cheek.
Author's note! Another update done, yay! Also, holy shit this story has gotten 1 thousand reads, how the hell did that happen?!? I just wanted to thank you all so much for reading this far, and for being as supportive as you have been, despite my lack of updates. Also, because of the high read-count I might just start uploading new chapters to this story more frequently from now on, although there actually aren't that many chapters left...
