As you sat in the garden, picking vegetables, you felt that comforting feeling of peace and tranquility wash over you. Next to you sat none other than Yuma Mukami, busy with the same activity as you. Before you moved into the Mukami household, moments like this one were rare. You were seldom let outside, and there was nobody you felt as if you could comfortably spend time with like this. Not once before starting to live here did everything feel as if it simply fell into place, as if you had no worries in the world. But, since then, that was no longer the case. As a matter of fact, you felt that way every single time you spent time alone with Yuma this way. And, as a result of that, majority of your time was spent like that. Just you and Yuma, alone with nature.

"Hey, (f/n)?" he asked in a low voice, to which you only hummed in response. "That NEET from the Sakamaki's... You know, the one who's sleeping all the time. Who is he?" Yuma asked, his eyes not leaving the plants he was tending to. "You mean Shuu? If I remember correctly, he's the oldest one of the brothers. Blonde hair, blue eyes, right?" you ask, showcasing the little information you had on him. "I know that much already... What I meant was, could you tell me about what kind of guy he is?" he then said, seeming very calm despite the obvious irritation emitting from his voice.

"O-Oh, sorry. I, ehm... I don't really know too much about him, but he slept a lot at home as well. And, the only thing I can really recall him ever saying was for everyone to shut up..." you say, trying to recall as many memories of Shuu as you could. To be honest, you had been avoiding everyone of the Sakamaki's like the pest, and with Shuu being so quiet you really didn't remember much of him.

"Sheesh, he really is a NEET..." he then said, as a response to your previous comment, while rolling his eyes. "Why do you want to know about him, anyway?" you ask curiously, as you glance over at the male next to you. "No real reason. The guy's just been a thorn in my side for a while now..." he said in a slightly annoyed tone. "I see... Well, if you really want to know more about him it might be worth a shot to ask Yui. She spent more time with him than I did, so she can probably provide more information than me" you admitted, with a slight blush starting to creep its' way onto your cheeks.

"I suppose I could, but I'd much rather spend time here with you" he then answered, turning to you with a grin and a slight blush from the somewhat cheesy and embarrassing line he just uttered. You, on the other hand, felt your cheeks burning at what he had just said, so you looked down and covered your face with your right hand and arm. "Cheesy idiot..." you muttered under your breath, although he still heard it judging from his reaction.

He started laughing at how cute you were being at that moment. "I guess you can insult me" he managed to say between laughs, making your face heat up even more. "Yeah, well, stop being an idiot and I won't have to call you one" you the half yelled, half muttered as you looked away from him. Despite looking the other way, you could almost hear the smirk on his face grow considerably. "I think I'm actually going to act like a "cheesy idiot" more, if that's what brings out this flustered side of you" he then stated, followed by a low chuckle because he knew that comment would only irritate and fluster you further.

"Sh-Shut up, idiot! You know what, you can do the gardening yourself, I'm leaving!" you the half yelled at him grumpily, before standing up and marching inside, leaving Yuma laughing by himself because of your cute behavior. You then power walked through the mansion to your room, before shutting and locking the door behind you. Not that locking it really made that big of a difference, seeing as they could simply teleport in if they wanted, but still. Hopefully they at least stopped to consider it as a sign that you wanted to be alone, not that anyone except Yuma would usually bother you anyway.

Once the door was securely locked behind you, you opened the window and sat down at the windowsill with your legs hugged to your chest. 'Why do I feel this way? When he said that, my heart started beating like crazy, and I started feeling almost lightheaded. What's wrong with me?!?' you thought to yourself as you hid your face in your legs, letting your (h/l) hair cover your eyes. 'I can't like him that way, can I? No, no way! He's just a friend! I can't fall in love, not after everything I've been through. Love is a concept for people happily oblivious enough to believe in it, not for people like me' Your train of thought then continued as you felt one tear start forming in the corner of your eye.

'I won't dare to believe that I'm even capable of experiencing such feelings'

Author's note! Sorry, this is really short, an' stuff. It's kind of last minute as well, so I hope there wasn't large grammatical issues, or something like that. I blame school for these last minute updates, and for the fact that you didn't even get an update last week. Either way, summer vacation is coming up soon, so if you can just bear with me until then, it should get better. Also, I'm kind of getting close to the end of what I have planned thus far. This means that this story will be put on hold, unless season 3 is released soon. Either way, I hope you enjoyed this chapter and that you're looking forward to the next one! //Yours truly, Handsomesquid :3
