Hera starred at the blood stained gloves on her table in her room. She couldn't bring herself to wash Ezra's blood off them. It had been over a month since Ezra had been stabbed and he still hadn't come out of his force induced coma. Scans showed that he was completely healed he just wasn't waking up. Kanan had been staying in that med bay room every night they weren't on a mission.
"It's pretty quiet around here." She heard Sabine say to Zeb through her door.
"Yeah it's just not the same without the Jedi." Zeb replied.
Chopper beeped (I really miss the kid).
"I think we're all missing young Bridger." Kallus said.
Hera wiped a teardrop before it started to fall.
"Why haven't you woken up Ez? If only you knew how much the galaxy needs you."
She was just about to go check on her two Jedi when she heard something else.
"Kanan what are you doing here?" She heard three voices ask in sync. Kanan didn't answer.
Just then her door opened.
"Any change love?" She asked knowing who it was.
"He's been extremely active today, but other than that nothing." Kanan answers reaching out to touch her shoulder. "He'll wake soon."
"You keeping saying that; still nothing has changed. Ezra hasn't woken up and we don't know if he ever will." She practically yelled at him.
"He will wake up Hera. I can sense it." The Jedi said remaining calm.
"Don't you dare say soon. If he was going to wake up soon you wouldn't have left the room."
"If I didn't think he'd wake up soon I'd go on the mission with you. Thought I'd tell you in person that I wasn't coming this time."
"Mission? What mission?"
"The one you're about to be called to the board room to. Something bigs about to happen. Ezra and I can both sense it." Kanan said with a hint of an apology in his voice. Hera also detected hints of joy and concern in it.
"I get it Love. He's about to wake up and you want to be there when he does. So do the rest of us..."
"Hera, you can't. The rebellion needs you and the others. They're more important right now. Ezra needs me; for me he's more important. He'll understand if you're not there but someone should be."
"Kanan, let me know if he does wake up. I'll turn this ship around and be here as fast as I can." Hera instructed him.
"I make no promises." Kanan replied then kissed her cheek.
She watched as he made his way down the hall.
Within seconds she was called to the briefing room for her crews next mission.
They left immediately for a Rescure mission.

Kanan sat on the floor of the med bay room in front of the tank. His eyes closed as he meditated and waited patiently for Ezra to wake up. Ezra was twisting and turning inside the tank. Kanan could sense his padawan's diseased chi.
Suddenly two pairs of eyes snapped open. Sapphire blue eyes staring into the clouded eyes of their blind mentor. A tap on the glass confirmed what Kanan could sense but couldn't see.
"Ezra" Kanan said and quickly activated the med droid in the room. "He's up get him out of there."
The droid did as instructed. It moved Ezra from the tank to one of the two beds. Kanan moved quickly to be at the nineteen year olds side.  The droid continued to try and run a full check up on Ezra, but he pushed it away.
"Kanan, he's comming. It's time." Ezra said.
Kanan smiled. "Are you ready?"
"Not to train someone."
"No, I know that. I meant to claim the title."
"Were you ever?"
"I'm still don't feel as if I earned it myself. The Force says otherwise. For both of us."
