Critter came back into consciousness in a dark room.

Her memory files booted up and reminded her of why she was there.

She was betrayed.

Anger took the place of self-pity and she snarled at the thought of Eclipse.

As more files booted up she found out why her side had a mesh bandage on it.

The femme had angered Starscream by insulting his vanity. So in his rage he had sliced down her midriff.

Back to the present, she looked around. The Decepticons had cuffed her legs together and she was hanging from the ceiling by electrical cuffs and chains. They had also taken the liberty of restraining her spider legs as well.

She tried to pull out of them, lifting her legs up and thrashing as she tried to escape.

The door opened with a hiss and the Decepticon SIC stalked in.

"There's no use struggling, traitor. You're not getting out of here anytime soon." He grinned.

"Starscream..." She groaned. "Come to gloat?"

"I would, but Lord Megatron wants information. And you WILL give it to me." He placed a digit under her chin, lifting it up to meet his face.

She winced at his proximity, remembering her time with him back on Cybertron.

Like most of Cybertron's population, she found him self-centered and prideful, but she had also beared witness to the many beatings he had recieved from Megatron and how he was left to suffer alone afterwards.

One cycle she had waited for the room to clear before crouching at his side, doing her best to patch up his wounds.

She thought maybe if she helped him, she could form a friendship. Perhaps they could even escape the Decepticons and Megatron.

Oh how naive she was.

Nevertheless they had a history to say the least.

"And if I don't?"

"Then your death will be slow and painful." He smirked, pulling his clawed digit away with speed, causing a few small sparks to fly.

"But Starscream, I-"

"Silence!" He spat.

"We could have had the world, you and I. But you threw it away when you freed Optimus Prime from Kaon's prison." He narrowed his optics. "You would have been my second in command, we would have lead the Decepticons to victory! But you ruined that. Your mistake."

Unable to face his gaze, she spoke quietly. "I'm sorry..."

He laughed a bitter laugh. "Well, what a shame 'sorry' doesn't fix everything. I would know."

"I would have followed you. I'd take you over Megatron any orn. But the war was destroying our home. And it seemed like it was only the Autobots who cared about freedom and preserving it."

He snarled and there was a brief silence before he spoke again.

"I can lead the Decepticons to victory-"

"But your morals and ideals are corrupted, Starscream. I can't support that."

He growled loudly and lifted up his clawed servos to strike.

She shuttered her optics and braced herself.

However, he stopped just in front of her chest. "No..." He lifted the servo to delicately run a digit along her cheekplates. "You were my... My friend back on Cybertron. I could have kept you from Airachnid. I still can, but you must pledge your loyalty to me!"
