I posted this on the Voltron Amino (it's the Pidge btw), but I'll post it here as well.
Hi guys! So, a few months ago, I found out there was a Voltron movie at works. I have no idea if that's true, but I spent a long time talking to my friend about it and I kinda have some "ideas" in mind. I also saw (and voted on) a quiz about that a few minutes ago and commented some stuff, which I will mention here.
If a Voltron movie happens, it would be great if the VAs helped during the casting process. The producers and show runners could assist the director, the cast and the crew somehow.
Also, don't let M. Night Shyamalan or Micheal Bay direct it. I've seen what happened to the ATLA movie and I'm not a big fan of the Transformers movie franchise. Edgar Wright, JJ Abrams or Jon Favreu could be better alternatives: Wright directed "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World", which combines action and comedy; Abrams directed "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", which ended up being very good; and Favreu directed "Iron Man" (is it another Iron Man movie? I don't remember). All of these directors have some experience with action and comedy, and I believe they would be good directors.
I also have some people in mind for the cast:
Shiro: honestly no idea. He'd be kinda hard to cast.
Keith: I did some research, and I think Yoo Seung Ho has a better profile than anyone else.
Pidge: I don't know. If I could, I'd audition to play Pidge myself, since I really want to be an actress (and I've been told that I look a lot like her several times), but I don't live in the US, so that would be kinda hard.
Hunk: Jacob Batalon.
Lance: absolutely no idea. My friend suggested Juanpa Zurita, but I don't know that guy (sorry).
Allura: Logan Browning.
Coran: I'd love to see Rhys Darby (Coran's VA) playing Coran on screen. Billy Boyd and Matthew McConaughey could also work.
Zarkon: Andy Serkis. No doubt.
Haggar/Honerva: Halle Berry. I also thought Viola Davis (QUEEN) could play her, but I think Berry looks a bit more like Honerva.
Lotor: Bill Skarsgård. I have no idea why.
Matt: no idea. Tom Holland, maybe?
Shay: my friend suggested Georgie Henley.I think they should stay loyal to the show. If they don't, the movie will probably be awful. I also believe they should adapt "Voltron: Legendary Defender", and not the original Voltron (no matter how risky it is).
Thank you for your time! Bye!!! :)
Edit: I spelled ATLA wrong and mistakes like that make me want to kill myself lmao
