-chapter 4- (sorry it took so long, I accidentally deleted the whole damned thing)

I nodded, and Cade turned the knob. He stepped in, and the whole crowd erupted in welcoming cheers and shouts of his name.

I slipped in behind him, unnoticed.

A group of three boys, all about Cade's age, walked to him an greeted him.

They spoke for a little while.... Then one of them noticed me.

"Who's the chick? She's too innocent to be a Vengeance slut... Plus you're not one to bring a slut, or even a girl, to anything." The boy explained. Cade smiled.

"Guys this is Jessica. Jess, these... Well, interesting men, are Derek, Luke and Alex." They all smiled sweetly an greeted me. I did the same.

"Wait... Jessica!? Guys!!! This is the chick he has a crush on! The one he won't shut up about!" Luke exclaimed happily.

A light blush rose in Cade's cheeks, and I stifled a chuckle.

"They're drunk, they don't know what they're talking about." He muttered in my ear.

I nodded, smirking.

"Uh huh..." I muttered. Luke smiled.

"So, you're new here?" He asked, I nodded.

"What powers do you have?" Derek asked and I shrugged.

"Not sure, never bothered to use them. I'm too good for powers." I added with a smirk and a wink.

"I like this chick. You should bring her places more often," Alex told Cade with a smile. Derek reached into a cooler, and handed me a beer. I took it gingerly, and just held it.

"Well? Gonna drink it?" Alex asked, giving me a look. I smirked. Expertly, though I had really never done this before, I popped the cap on the corner of the table. I brought the bottle up.

"Cheers," I said with a smile then pressed the cool beer to my lips. Like it was nothing, I downed the whole thing in seconds flat. The alcohol felt cool, smooth and amazing as it danced across my tongue and surged down my throat. The boys looked at me with shocked and dazed looks, then everyone started cheering for me. I laughed, smiling, and tossed the empty bottle into the recycling bin.

That had tasted so good, why had that been my first time drinking? I should've done it years before!

The guys high fived me, and Cade smiled.

"So, any games on tonight?" Cade asked.

"Games?" I questioned.

"Drinking games," Alex clarified. Derek smirked.

"There is. Follow me." He said and led us all outside to where there were fences circling a fighting dummy. On the outside of the fences was a table covered in full cups of beer, and a woman standing with a sword.

"This is a newer one. What happens is a few people sign up to play. It runs for about 45 minutes, and before you start, you have to down a cup of beer. Then that woman there takes you into the enclosed area and blind folds you. After that you spin ten times in each direction, then, still blindfolded, you have to try and hit that dummy. The dummy's enchanted, so if you cut it deep enough to do real harm had that been a person, then it'll bleed before healing itself. Everytime you miss or don't hit hard enough, you have to drink, then you get two more tries. Only one more if you hit it right after. But once again, when you miss, you drink." He explained, and smiled. "Wanna try?" He asked, and I nodded.

Derek gently pushed me towards the table. I drank one cup, then they blindfolded me and I got on with it. I sliced the head right off. I laughed, walking to them. They congratulated me, and before I knew it, round two began. By the time it was all over, I was completely, and utterly drunk.
