I sighed gently. Wasn't too long before I found the path we had taken and arrived back home. I walked into the house, only to be greeted by Nik.

"Hey you," he said with a smile and a chuckle, laying his hands on my hips and kissing me gently. I looked up at him with a look of utter confusion on a face and a brow raised.

"What?" He asked, seeing my puzzlement.

"The hell are you smoking?" I asked and chuckled. He shrugged with a smile.

"Guess I'm a little drunk on you and high on love," he replied with a whisper and a smirk, kissing my cheek.

I kept my look of puzzlement and moved from his grasp, chuckling just a little as I walked towards my room. He wrapped his arms around my waist gently to stop me.

"Nuh-uh beautiful, I'm taking you out for the rest of the day." He replied and threw me over his shoulder gently, carrying me out the door.

I laughed and playfully punched his back though I didn't mind that he did this. He set me down once we got outside and took my hand, walking down the street with him.

"Nik... This is a pretty large amount of PDA for us.... The others..." I began but he cut me off.

"Randy and Darian aren't here. They went out with a couple of Cade's friends to better understand the Vengeance." He explained to me.

"Why aren't you with them?" I asked. Nikolai's eyes widened a little and I pretended I didn't see it.

"Because I don't care for these people," he recovered smoothly... But I could tell he was lying. Hiding something. Whatever it was, it wasn't worth my time right now. I had better things to do.

We walked down the street and eventually came to a nice clothing store. Nikolai took me in, and looked around, smiling.

"How about I get you a dress for tomorrow?" He asked softly, his smile .fading.

"Nik you don't have to do this." I replied, and locked my eyes on his. He softly placed a kiss on my forehead.

"You're right. I sure as hell don't have to.... But I want to." He answered, and took me to where many dresses of all styles, colours and sizes hung everywhere.

He walked to one. It was beautiful yet simple..... Pretty short but not party short. It was stunning. And I'm pretty sure Nik thought so too, based on the way he looked at it.

"Wow." He whispered, and I smiled softly. I was thinking the same thing.

"Wanna try it on?" He asked me softly, and I locked my eyes on his. I nodded gently, and he handed it to me. I headed off, into one of the changing stalls.

The changing stall was pretty bland, a bench on the back wall, hooks above the bench, and a mirror on the door. I slipped the black dress on... And smiled at my reflection.

I rarely ever wore fancy things and NEVER wore dresses. Wasn't at all my style, and it didn't fit our way of life. I fixed my hair and the dress, then opened the door.

It's hard to explain the look Nikolai had on his face after he had seen me in that dress. He was joyfully shocked.

"Oh my god," he whispered, walking to me. He was grinning like crazy. A week ago I would've never guessed that Nikolai was capable of such a thing. He gently reached behind me and slowly took the band off my ponytail, my auburn hair falling around my shoulders.

I blushed, and smiled like a schoolgirl. He chuckled.

"You're perfect. It's perfect." He told me in a soft tone.
