You can only run when you can see the road ahead. Sometimes you need your friends to help you.

Halogens further down the group cannot displace halogens further up the group. Chlorine displaces bromine but it cannot displace fluorine.

Where was I amidst all this displacement?

The glass panels deflected some of the sun's rays and reduced the light energy pouring into our library. That was the best it could do, it was up to us to deal with te excess light all around us. The air conditioning helped to create a more conducive environment for studying.

My physics worksheets covered the red table Daniel and I shared. There were random scribbles here, there, everywhere. Every subject was the same, stained with blue ink, black letters on its pure white sheet. It seemed tainted, almost pitiful, pathetic and purposeless.

A weapon of great power that could cause catastrophic destruction not just in the campus, but in the city's core.

It was something deeply entrenched in us. As if we were born to fight, to compete and crush each other.

In various ways and varied places with a variety of timings.

F =ma, if there is no acceleration then there is no force. There is no progress without effort.

It trains us for life. I suppose that's the good part.

  'Len, significant figures...'

  Oops.

Another slip up again. That single mistake could cost me a mark. Fortunately Daniel spotted it.

  Question 10

Explain why the sky is blue?

Molecules in the air scatter blue light more than the red light.

I heard footsteps when I penned down my answers. I stole a glimpse at the stairs leading up the the second floor. The footsteps grew louder, louder, and louder. And the silhouette of the two ladies grew larger, larger and larger still. Until the full aura of their presence filled the entire floor. They stood before me.

  'Hi Len,' Skye greeted us.

'Daniel invited us,' Jenni said objectively, 'we need help with physics and chemistry.'

Jenni and Skye sat next to Daniel. They both took out their books. They were stumped by the first few questions. I suppose this was the result of being in a sports team and transferring to another school in the final year of education.

No one can be good at everything. Not even the captain of the track team, not even the kindest girl in this school.

In the end, we're all just trying our best right?
