     Lol. Now have a story.

You yawned and stretched, scratching behind your furry ear with all the enthusiasm of a lazy dog. According to your internal clock it was morning, and Sans should be coming around at any time to bring you back into the house.

You heard footsteps outside in the snow, ones too heavy for Sans. Must be the Boss, you thought to yourself. You sat up, collar jangling a little bit at the movement. Then your ears twitched- those footsteps were to heavy for Papyrus.

"What's in here?!" A voice called, and you froze- they were right outside the door. You panicked, knowing that if anyone else caught you, you'd be immediately killed. And as much as you'd rather not go back to Frisk, you didn't have much choice if you wanted to survive. Moving over to the hole in the wall, you were just about to squeeze out when Undyne burst down the door.

"What the- PAPYRUS! Why is there HUMAN in here?!?" Undyne yelled, before chucking some spears at you. You mostly dodged, only getting nicked in the shoulder as you ducked under Undyne's legs and ran out the door. You skidded to a stop just before you ran into a wall of blue attacks that Papyrus had pulled up, taking a sharp left turn to run around the shed and into the forest.

"GET BACK HERE!" You could hear Papyrus calling in the distance. You kept running, soon climbing a tree to rest for a bit. You would have a harder time finding your way to the Ruins this time around with all of the monsters that would be after you. Speaking of which, you heard some whistling not far off that sounded familiar. You moved as silently as you could through the trees to follow the source, when it suddenly stopped. You heard part of a conversation, only one of the voices loud enough to hear.

"Hey! You! Get out of here! I'm searching over here!"

     "..."

"You talkin' back to me?! Look, I don't care who you are, this is my turf!"

     "..."

     "W-woah, hey, l-let's talk about-"

You heard he sound of a monster dissolving into dust, followed by silence. You had just then reached a good point to peer at the area, and saw Sans walking away from the newly created pile of dust.

You waited until he left, tail twitching nervously. Then you attempted to quietly dropped down to the ground, landing on your ass in an ungrateful pile of human. You were suddenly freezing, probably because your clothes provided very little protection, and started running in the direction of the door to the Ruins.

The only other spot of trouble came in the form of the giant bird thing from the first time around. It snapped at you with its sharp beak, giving you a limp in your right leg before you managed to get it to smash into a tree, effectively knocking it out.

You looked around nervously as you stepped onto the path to the Ruins, making sure no one was around as you knocked on the door.

     "Who's there?" A voice replied.

"A human. Please, help me," you answered, and started to panic as out of the corner of your eye you saw Papyrus stomping down the path.

"A human...? What kind of joke is this? Who are you really?" Toriel replied suspiciously.

"Please! I'm not lying! Help me, please!" You begged, and felt your heart fill with despair as Papyrus caught sight of you. You crouched down to the ground, trying to make yourself as small as possible, although you knew that wouldn't help at all. Then, just as Papyrus was crossing the bridge, the door opened and you felt big furry paws pull you in.

The door closed behind you, and you felt a flood of warmth as Toriel turned you around to face her. Her cold, suspicious glare raked over you, seeming to pick apart your very being.

"You do not look human, child," she said with a gravelly undertone to her voice.

"Thank you for saving me," you said, "and I know I might not look it, but I promise I am. See?" You temporarily entered battle mode, showing her your soul before leaving the battle. Toriel's expression softened.

"Well, I guess... you must be her child, then? How did you survive?"

"Whose child?" You asked with a confused look on your face. You already knew who of course, Patience, but you wanted to see if you could bring the full story out of her.

"Well, let's head upstairs first, shall we?" Toriel asked, "I just finished making some pie, perhaps you would like some." You nodded and followed her.

You sat at the table, eating a large slice of an odd-tasting pie while Toriel sat across from you watching you eat.

"Toriel? Could you tell me what happened to my mother?" You asked.

"Well, if you insist. But this really isn't something to talk about while eating," she sighed. "Long ago, a human fell into the Underground. She was a lovely young woman, and we got along together wonderfully. Then, a few months later, it turns out the reason she had fallen down here was that she was pregnant, and her family hadn't wanted her too keep the baby as she was so young. So, she decided that if the baby was going to die, so was she.

"She gave birth to a beautiful little girl, one that brought a smile and a bit of sunshine into the heart of this old lady. I helped build her room, gave her toys, anything either of them could want. Then one day, I'm not sure how, we left the baby alone while we went on a walk, and when we came back, she had crawled out of the door to the rest of the Underground. Before I could stop her, the mother ran out, and I never heard a thing from either of them again- until now."

Toriel smiled at you as you finished the pie, then led to the guest bedroom. You fell to sleep with a lot on your mind.
