Chapter 10

Clarence:

Millions of thoughts raced through my mind as I locked eyes with my ex.

Connor turned beet red, but didn't say anything.

"Care to explain?" I ask.

"I was swindled into doing this! I had no idea it was you I was transporting. I swear." He deliberately says.

"Yeah right. You were the one who caused this the first place right?" He turns to look straight ahead. I unbuckle my belt and lean forward near him.

"So you did!" I exclaim.

"How does that have anything to do with-"

"Why'd you do it."

He sighs.

"I wanted you back.You broke me into millions of pieces and I wanted revenge. I wanted to prove you made a mistake."

"You thought I'd take you back after you kidnapped me! Well here's my answer: Hell no!" I screech.

He sets his jaw straight.

"Well then im afraid ill have to do this." He punches his foot on the pedal and the car goes flying, and so do I. I fly and hit my head on the roof of the car.

"Let me go Connor!"

He barely glances back. I look around and spot the locks on the car. Lucky for me his was old so it didn't have child locks.

I flip one of the locks and glance once more at Connor. He looks at me.

"You probably wont get away with this." I say.

"Where's your proof?" he mocks.

"I'll find it." With that I take a giant leap out of the car and hit the ground hard.

I open my eyes and red creeps the corners of my vision. I lying I a ditch and im totally bruised. Lucky for me I rolled as I jumped out of the car so I wouldn't get so hurt. I struggle to my feet and climb from the ditch.

A car drives by and stops in front of me.

"Whoa. What happened to you," Caleb. He was associated with Connor so I started running away from him.

"Hey wait !" He's running behind and is catching up fast. I give up.

"Look what happened?" Caleb asks.

"Nothing that YOU don't know of."

"What are you talking about?"

"Connor."

"oh...yeah...that."
