My mom calls my name from the other room. I walk out of my room

"Hey B." Miles says as soon as I open my bedroom door. My mom must have already let him in.

"Hey M. You ready to go?" I say grabbing my bag and leaving my room.

"Yeah let's go." He kisses me and we walk outside holding hands.

"Did you get a motorcycle?" I ask. Instead of the normal dodge avenger there is a black motorcycle with a bow on it.

"Nope. You did." Miles says slipping the keys in my hand. I look from the keys in my hand, to the motorcycle, to Miles, and back again.

    "I can't take this Miles."

"Sure you can. You just grab the keys and start the engine." He says grinning.

"Miles, really. You give me too much. I can't possibly repay you for all you've done for me."

"Look. It's your birthday, this is your birthday present."

"Your present to me is getting rid of my cancer."

"That was just because I love you this is your present, and besides I owe you a motorcycle ride remember?"

"I meant in a rental not for you to buy me a motorcycle."

"Well I did so deal with it. It didn't cost much anyway. Oh and here I also got you this." Miles says pulling out a package.

    "Really Miles?"

"Stop complaining and just open it." I roll my eyes and tear open the package. Inside is a white studded leather jacket.

    "Miles I really don't need a present-"

"You can't give it back. I want you to have it. It is meant for you and you should keep it."

"Well thanks." I say putting on the jacket.

"No problem. Now how about we call your friends and skip school for a little while?"

"Could we go for a ride first? You do owe me a motorcycle ride remember?" Miles laughs.

"Yeah sure." He gets on first to drive. I get on behind him wrapping my arms around him.

   "You ready?"

"Hell yeah." I say. We go slow at first and speed up slowly. I love this motorcycle already. The wind is blowing in my face and my hair is flowing behind us. We pull into a parking lot and I get off.

    "You want to try?"

"Yes!" I say switching spots with him and getting on the motorcycle. I start it up and start driving with Miles' arms wrapped tightly around my waist. I begin to go faster than he did and soon we are speeding down alleys. Miles buries his face in my jacket and I just grin. I park in the parking lot of McDonalds, where I said I would meet my friends, and turn off the engine.

"Miles you can let go now."

"You are going to end up killing us." He says, his face still buried in my shirt and his arms are still wrapped tightly around my waist.

    "No. I won't."

    "Yes, you will."

    "No, I won't."

"Won't what?" Kait says walking up to us.

"Miles is being a pansycake. He thinks I'm going to end up getting us killed."

"Oh trust me. She does some stupid stuff, and she has talked us into many stupid ideas, but somehow we are still alive so I think you are good." Beth says walking up with the rest of the group. Kaitlyn glares at her. Miles laughs nodding his head and getting off of the motorcycle I get off and we head inside.

"Nice motorcycle." Kait says. "I want a ride later."

"Sure thing." I say winking at her and taking a bite of my food.

"Nice jacket. Can I borrow it sometime?" Beth asks.

"What so you can use it for a second before you move on to the next victim?" Kait mumbles under her breath and Beth glares at her. What is going on between them?

~Kaitlyn's Pov~

Beth glares at me and I glare back at her. This is how it has been since I caught her being a two timing snob. I never really liked Carson but being cheated on sucks, I know from experience. I can see Bri looking at us but I ignore it.

"Beth. I need to talk to you." I say motioning to the room where they have the kids playground. She crosses her arms and glares at me.

    "What?"

"I'm not saying that I forgive you but we should just act like we are fine. At least today, for Bri's birthday."

"Fine, but that means you have to keep your opinions to yourself. No calling me a slut in front of them."

"Okay. Just one day and then we are back to hating each other."

"Deal." We shake on it. I notice that everyone is watching us so I pull her into a hug.

"What the hell are you doing?" She says trying to squirm away from the hug.

"They're watching us." I say hugging her. She looks over to them and nods hugging me back slightly.

We head back to the table smiling and Bri lightens up getting in a big conversation with Miles. Beth and I aren't paying attention though. Gosh, what happened to my best friend? Why is she becoming a complete and utter female dog? I just want Beth back, the old Beth.
