I woke up the sound of the rain, looking out the window I saw the rain was coming down heavy

I sighed and started to get ready for school

Taking one last look in the mirror, I headed outside and grabbed my bike.

I rode down the street until I saw the famous building people call school, I personally call it hell. Especially when psycho Henry was always on my back

I locked my bike up and headed inside

'Hey y/n?' I heard a gentle voice, turning around to see Eddie stood there

He was always known as short, but he still managed to be taller than me

'hey Eddie' I smiled

'You know my name?' he said, looking genuinely surprised

Me and Bill might be best friends, but we never really hung out in school as he had his own friends and I didn't mind being on my own, but I knew who his friends were, most of us had the same class

I laughed 'yes Eddie, of course. You're bills friend and we have class together'

He blushed 'oh right, y-yeah'

'So, what can I do for you?' I asked

'Well me and Richie were wondering- '

'Hey sugar tits! So, what have you don't with B-b-billy?' Richie said and stood next to Eddie

'Hey to you too Richie, isn't he here today?' I asked

He shook his head 'Nope.'

I frowned 'maybe he's ill? Yesterday he wasn't very well, maybe his mum let him have the day off'

Richie nodded 'makes sense'

'thank you y/n' Eddie said and grabbed his bag, slinging it over his shoulder

'No worries' I smiled 'catch you later boys'

Later in the day I decided to go around the Denbroughs house to see if Bill was okay. The minute I got there I realised something was different

Mrs. Denbrough wasn't playing the piano like she normally would be, and it just felt... different

I walked over to the door and before I could knock the door got pulled open

'O-oh' Billy said and looked down

'Wow great to see you too' I joked

He didn't react and just carried on looking down

I looked behind him to see that his mum and dad were hugging, his mum in tears

'Bill... whats going on?' I asked

He didn't say anything and just broke out in sobs

I pulled him into a hug 'Hey it's going to be fine, whatever it is' I said but I think we both knew it wasn't

'G-Georgie' he stuttered, he looked up and I examined him properly

His eyes were puffy like he'd been crying all day, his hair was all over the place and he looked broken

My heart dropped thinking the worst

'What about him? Bill...'

'H-he's gone.'
