Part 4

We all got on our bikes and headed to the sewers

We dropped our bikes by the water, walking over to the entrance to the sewers

'This is so gross.' Eddie muttered

'Well that's poison ivy, that's poison ivy and that's poison ivy.' Stan said pointing to all the plants that hung around the entrance

Me and Eddie walked closer trying to examine the plants to see

'Wheres the poison ivy?' Eddie asked

'Nowhere...' Richie said turning to us 'not every fucking plant is poison ivy Stanley.' Richie said

Bill and Richie stepped inside, Bill flashing his flashlight

'Be careful Bill!' I shouted

'Okay well im starting to get itchy now and im pretty sure this isn't-'

Richie interrupted 'do you use the same bathroom as your mother?'

'Sometimes yeah.'

'Then you probably have crabs.'

'That's so not funny.'

'Arent you guys coming in?' Richie asked

All three of us examined the area a bit more, holding bac

Eddie shuck his head 'Nu uh, its grey water.'

'What the hell is grey water?'

'It's basically piss and shit, so im just telling you. You guys are splashing around in millions and gallons of Derry pee.'

Eddie dipped his stick in the water, picking it up and holding it to his nose.

'Are you serious?'

'Doesn't smell like caca to me senor!' He put on his Spanish accent

'Okay I can smell that from here!'

'It's probably your breath just wafting back to your face.'

Eddie took a deep breath, holding his hand up

'Have you ever heard of a staph infection?!'

'I'll show you a staph infection-' Richie argued

'it's so unsanitary! Its literally like swimming inside of a toilet bowl right now!' Eddie said

Me and Stan looked at each other, both giving the boys an eye roll

Richie threw the bit of clothing he found in the water at Eddie

Eddie screamed, taking a step back

'Are you retarded?' he grimaced

'You are the reason we are in this position right now-'

'Guys!' Bill cut them off

Looking over to him I noticed he was holding a white sneaker

He flashed his light on it

'Shit, don't tell me that's-' Stan said

Me and Eddie looked at each other and back to Bill

'No... G-Georgie wore galoshes.'

Richie walked over to bill, both examining the shoe

'Whose sneaker, is it?' Eddie asked

'Do we need to know? Lets leave.' I said 'Guys come on.'

'it's Betty Ripsoms.' he said ignoring my comment

A felt a lump in my throat, knowing she was down here, or had at least been down here gave me chills

'It isn't safe, come on.' I said

'oh shit.. oh fuck! I don't like this.' Eddie said

'How do you think Betty feels? Running around these tunnels with only one frickin shoe.' he said hopping on one leg

We all glared at him

'Not funny Richie, she could be in danger. We need to tell someone.' I said

'She's right, we shouldn't be here.' Eddie agreed

'What if she's still here?' Stan asked

Richie and Bill turned around going even further into the sewers

'Eddie come on!' Richie said

I looked over to Eddie, who didn't look too sure about the idea either

'My mum will have an aneurism okay, if she finds out we are playing down here. Im serious!' he said

'I-If I was Betty Ripsom, I-I would want us to find her.' He said 'G-Gegorie too.'

The minute he mentioned Georgie that feeling came back again, the same feeling ive had since he went missing, guilt.

I sighed 'God damn it Bill.'

I went to walk in the sewers when I felt a gentle hand grab my wrist

I turned to Eddie who shook his head

'What if I don't want to find them?' Eddie said

My eyes widened 'Eddie!'

'im serious, i mean no offence Bill but I don't want to end up like G-' he stopped himself 'I don't want to go missing either.'

'He has a point.' Stan said

'y-you too?' bill asked

'Its summer! We are supposed to be having fun, this isn't fun!' He said

'Guys come on, if your little brother went missing you would want to find him too, I get your scared so am i. But im doing this for the kids who are going missing. Theres something not right.' I said and walked over to Bill

He gave me a smile

'This is disgusting, dangerous!' Eddie said

'G-guys-'

Bill was cut off when we heard a massive splash

We walked out the sewers and saw a guy on his knees in the water

He tried standing back up but soon fell right back down

'Holy shit what happened to you?' Richie asked

We ran over to him, seeing that he was badly hurt

'it's okay, come on let's get you cleaned up.' I said

Me and Stan helped him stand up

'I think its great we are helping the new kid but we also need to think of our own safety! I mean he's bleeding all over and you guys know that there's an AIDS epidemic out there right now, as we speak, right? I mean, my moms friend in new your got it just by touching a dirty pole in the subway and enough of AIDS blood got into her system through a hangnail. Through a hangnail!' Eddie rambled on 'and we can amputate legs and arms, but... how do you amputate a waist? How do you amputate a waist!?' he shouted

I sighed and pulled up my bike

'Eddie, breathe. He's badly cut that's all. I'm sure he doesn't have AIDS or any other disease he can pass to us, so please calm down. You won't need your waist amputated ben.' I reassured the injured boy

He nodded, sitting on the box by the wall

'Richie and y/n wait here... come on guys.' Bill said

Stan, Eddie and bill all headed to the pharmacy

'I'm glad I got to meet you before you died.' Richie said

I wacked his arm

'Ignore him.' I said, which ben agreed to

'what? what did I say?'

'Nothing Tozier, nothing.' I laughed waiting for the guys to come back
