"Girl, stop that yelling in my house." I said to Aubri.
"I'm sorry, ma. I'm so done with Ashton, done." Aubri and Ashton has been best friends for forever.
"What happen?" I said, while I sat on the couch and patted a spot for Aubri to sit.
"Ma, how about I told Ashton this whole speech about how I liked him and I wanted to be more than friends and you know what he said?" She asked me.
"What he say?"
"You know what he said? Huh?"
"What he say Aubri?"
"You really wanna know?"
"Girl if you don't...." I said.
"Okay, okay he said and I quote, Oh. He didn't say I like you back, he didn't say I just want to be friends, he just said oh. What that mean?" She said being over dramatic.
"I thought y'all was already dating. He just took you out on a date earlier this week." I said.
"We didn't go on a date, we just went out to eat and hung out." Aubri said.
"Besides, there's this new boy name, Xavier and he is so fioneeee mama. Omg. He is so sexy, and his voice is deep and he bumped into me and was like my bad gorgeous and he winked at me." He sounds like a bad boy player, I just hope he doesn't play my Aubri.
"Momma, can I ask you a personal question?" She asked.
"You can ask me anything, Aubri." I said grabbing her hand and looking in her eyes.
"When did you decide you wanted to have sex?" That was not what I thought she was gonna ask me. Oh Lord this conversation. I didn't think I would be having this conversation with my sixteen year old daughter, but I have to say I was happy she was comfortable having this conversation with me and not doing something she will later regret.
"Aubri, you do know, you do not have to have sex with him for his attention. Never feel pressured in doing something you aren't comfortable with, never, do you hear me?" I told her lightly squeezing her hand.
"Yeah, I know, I'm just curious."
"Well, your dad was the first and only guy I had sex with." I told her.
"What? So dad was the only guy, you bust it open for?" Aubri said. Was I this bold with my mom. They said what you did comes back on you ten fold.
"Aubri. Language, but to answer your question. Yes, and I knew I was ready, because I loved your dad and I was ready physically, mentally, and emotionally. The last thing you want to do is regret it after it happens." I told her.

"No problem, my baby." I said and brought her in a hug.
