The roads are icy, and I had to run to the store and it isn't even dawn yet. Mistake. I see a small animal in the road, and I swerve to miss it. Another mistake. Due to the amount of black ice on the roads, the tires on my car slide and throws me over a cliff. Last thing I hear before losing vision, are sirens.

— Jared's point of view —

The battle just ended, Jacob is hurt. Carlisle is rushing to an accident sight, worried. I am at Sam and Emily's, digging into some roast. Tori isn't at home; my guess is she had to go to the store.

My cell phone rings, and I see Tori's number.

"T?" I say.

"Jared, it's Carlisle." Cullen says. "Tori was in a bad accident. She's alive, but barely. We are bringing her to the hospital now."

"Which hospital will she be in, Carlisle?" I ask, standing up.

"Port Angeles. I'll be her doctor."

I walk out of the house in a speedy manner, with Paul on my tail, and we get in my truck. We have to go check on Tori, make sure she is going to survive this crash.

The roads are icy, so I see why crashes. Was there an animal in the road or something? I see the skid marks as we pass the scene of the crash. She slid off the cliff.

— Paul's point of view —

Jared mention Tori in the hospital, I was ready to go. What happened to his imprint, my best friend? When I noticed how icy the roads were, I know it was a wreck.

"Carlisle says she is alive." Jared mumbles. "But barely."

"Cullen is the best doctor in the state." I remind him. "He will do what he can in order to save Tori."

— Jaxon's point of view—

Sam Uley picks me up and takes me to Port Angeles hospital; where I'm Tori's father and Jared Cameron is her fiancée, we are two that get her medical information, for what's wrong.

I feel horrible for how I did her. I was showed how much a daughter's life is important when I was beyond those gates.

"I need to know what's wrong with my daughter." I tell the colored receptionist, who has undying beauty.

"What is your daughter's name, sir?" She asks, smiling her big smile.

"Tori Fleming."

Tia (the receptionist) types in her computer. "Doctor Cullen will be out soon and let everyone know."

— Carlisle's point of view —

I finish Tori's surgery and I sigh in relief. Tori is lucky not to have died. The crash crushes her ribs, and fractured her arm. The surgery was a simple one on her arm, but a bit more complicated on the ribs.

"Fleming." I say as I find the pack and Tori's biological father in the waiting room. "The crash crushed Tori's ribs, and fractured her arm. Surgery went well, she should wake up in a few hours from recovery. She's lucky to be alive."

— Tori's point of view —

My eyes blink open and close right back, a light glaring into my green eyes. I warily open my eyes again, slower this time. I see my ribs bandaged up and my arm in a sling. What damage did that accident do?

Carlisle Cullen steps in. "Ah; you're awake."

"And blinded my the damned light." I grumble, my throat beyond dry.

"Would you like to know your damage?" Carlisle asks with a small smirk.

"I would appreciate the information, Doctor, please." I smile at the word doctor.

"You fractured your arm, which was a simple fix." Carlisle explains. "Your ribs however; were crushed. That was a more complicated surgery, but you will make a full recovery."

"At least I'll make a full recovery." I reply. "I'm tired, Doctor Cullen."

Carlisle covers me up and he walks out of the room after starting the fan. Jared walks in with Sam and Paul.

"How'd the fight go?" I ask, growing more and more tired.

"Jacob got hurt, but he will be okay." Paul replies. "Other than than that, us and the Cullen's won. Victoria is dead."

"Good."

Jared lays in the bed beside me as the other two leave. Jared kisses my cheek before I drift off to sleep, escaping the pain of my ribs.
