Emma's POV

"Promise me you'll behave and don't burn down the house again by trying to make cookies."

"I won't I promise I'll just buy some from the store. Bye, I love you, have fun."

We all walk out the door together as Brent, Crosby, and Carter pack all the bags in their cars. They all get into the car and back out of the driveway. I wave frankly at them hoping they'll get the hint that I'm going to miss them.

I walk into the living room and heave in a huge breath and let out a long sigh while falling back onto the couch, again I turned on the tv and started watching Riverdale.

Right when Cheryl texted Betty, I heard the stupid doorbell ring. I slowly get up from my comfortable seat and open the door, to my dismay I saw my sorry excuse of a boyfriend standing in front of me.

"Can we talk real quick please?"

"Why? What do you want to talk about?"

"I want to talk about -"

Before he could finish his sentence, a loud boom of thunder was heard from all over town. I jumped out of shock and slipped on my socks, having my fall on my ass on the hardwood floor.

"Shit that hurt."

"Are you ok Em?"

I stand up while rubbing the pain way from my butt.

"I'm fine. I don't want to talk to you right now."

I was just about to close the door until he puts his foot in between the door and the wall, I sigh and just walk away knowing there's no way for me to get him out of the house.

I sit down on the couch and snuggled up into my quilt while Luke sat on the other chair, catercorner from where I was sitting. He leans ford and puts his forearms on his knees.

"So Em, what I wanted to talk to you about was what happened that night."

I knew he was going to bring up this topic, I was already getting annoyed with him, plus it's not helping that I'm PMSing. I roll my eyes and put up my hand signaling to stop.

"Let me stop you right there Luke; I don't want to talk to you about this. Frankly, I'm not ready to talk about it, I know I didn't see the whole thing, but I saw what I saw, and that was enough for me."

I know he has a hard time keeping his cool because first, he hates when people interrupt him, and second I see him run his hands through his hair like he always does when he's getting mad. Before he could say anything else I interrupt him again, "Look, Luke, I'm not ready to forgive you yet because what I saw brought back memories."

I kept a calm voice as I was speaking because I'm learning to keep my cool and not explode like I usually do when I'm getting annoyed, Luke, on the other hand, was getting angrier by the minute. I was watching him closely as he kept running his hands through his hair, I roll my eyes tired of the conversation and hit unpaused on the tv. I snuggled into the blankets more and was about to turn up the volume when Luke abruptly stands up and looks at me.

"OH MY GOSH EMMA SHUT THE HELL UP!! IT'S NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL! GOSH, CAN YOU JUST LET ME FUCKING SPEAK!"

My eyes got big as I looked at him, he's never yelled at me before and to be honest he's scary with his red looking face, and his eyes look like they're about to pop out.

"Luke all I was saying wa-"

"NO EMMA YOU LISTEN TO ME! I WAS DRUNK LIKE EVERYONE ELSE AT THE FUCKING PARTY! SOMEONE PUSHED ME UP AGAINST THE WALL, AND NATURALLY, I THOUGHT IT WAS YOU! YES, YOU SAW ME KISS ANOTHER GIRL, BUT YOU RAN AWAY TO QUICKLY THAT YOU DIDN'T SEE ME PUSHING THE GIRL AWAY! GOSH EMMA YOU'RE OVERREACTING TO SOMETHING SO FUCKING LITTLE!"
