I woke up to the sun peeking through my barred window and the soft sound of birds singing.

I winced at the soreness from last night's activities as I slowly sat up.

I've only been here for a day and I'm already homesick.

I groaned as I stretched.

The door busted open revealing a servant.

"Oi!"

I blinked. "Um...hi."

"The prince wishes for you to join him for breakfast in the gardens..."

"Um...is it possible for me to get a bath before I go...?" I frowned glancing over the grime decorating my skin.

"Um. Well...he was extremely pressed about you being there now...so...No."

"But shouldn't I be clean before the Prince?"

"Are you trying to convince me?"

I pouted and he exhaled. "Alright. Let's make this fast."

He grabbed my hand and dragged me down the hall before shoving me into a room that looked like there was a waterfall running over an entrance. He shoved me under the water and I screamed as the water poured down on my body like bricks.

He pulled me out and smoothed down my hair before dragging me back down the hall.

Maids and servants who were near by offered me wary and sympathetic glances as I stumbled after the brun.

Once we reached the gardens he pushed me into a chair before bowing. "Here he is, your majesty."

"What happened to him?"

"He wished to bathe."

"..."

To say I was embarrassed was an understatement.

I glanced up at the servant next to me as I shivered in the chair.

"Bring him a blanket."

"Yes, my Prince." He walked away.

I turned to refocus on the prince who sat across from me.

"..."

"Didn't anyone teach you any manners?"

"I'm poor, remember?"

"Fine. Let me teach you."

"..."

"Good morning."

I puffed my cheeks. "..."

"Say it."

"..."

"Do I have to repeat myself?"

"What? What are you going to do? Behead me?"

His jaw clenched. "Would you prefer I have your head removed?"

"..." I paled.

"You seem to have forgotten your place." he stood up.

"What do you want? Good morning and what?"

"..."

"You didn't even address me."

"..."

"Good morning who?"

"Good morning Jacob."

"Yeah? and good morning to you, your majesty."

His eyes narrowed. "..."

His servant returned with a blanket and handed it to me.
