Getting off Little Lyn River, Aaron drove towards Hills River. He touched her face as he drove onto the ferry. “You’re sure you all right?” “No, I’m not.” Sasha said as films of tears rolled down her face. “You’re still shaken up from it right?” She nodded. “Aaron you know as much as I do that Adrienne had killed her own sister with a bullet that been meant for me.” “Yeah, I know, but things happened. At least you’re all right.” “That’s true,” Sasha, said looking out the window. She
didn’t recognize the area as the ferry rolled on. “Umm Aaron, my other house is on this side of the river.” “I know.” He said. “I thought you were taking me home.” Aaron chuckled, “I am. To Mine. Algiers Point.” Sasha gasped turning her head. She couldn’t breathe, couldn’t think, and couldn’t speak. “Don’t worry Sasha, you’ll be all right.” Aaron said touching her face. Sasha kept her head turned trying to think of all the wrong things that could probably happen. The ferry ride was over too soon and she would be alone with Aaron very soon. Sasha looked out the window. She’d only been of this side of the river when she had small errands to do. Algiers Point homes were far different from Hollywood Hills homes. Sasha noticed row after row of beautiful Victorian Manors, Gothic Homes, and Creole Cottages. Aaron pulled up in front of a large Versace Mansion. The place where she’ll spend the night. With him. He came around the car, helping her out. Part of her wanted to escape, another wanted to stay. It was as if she was being pulled into two different directions. As Aaron fumbled to find the right keys to door, Sasha’s heart began to beat even harder as the nerves started to kick in. They’ll never been alone like this and she dreaded the promising moments. When he had found the right key, the door opened instantly. Aaron flicked on the central air gauge. “I forgot to turn the ac on before I left. It might take a few minutes before cooling.” “That’s fine.” Sasha said looking around. The inside of the mansion was beautiful. Historical painting traveled along the walls and in the center, a large chandelier loomed over the living room. “Would you like some tea, water, champagne?” Sasha didn’t even notice that he had come behind her; his voice deep and husky. The words escaped her mouth almost breathlessly. “Tea. Tea would be fine.” Aaron chuckled, “You might want to get out of those clothes.” Sasha looked down at her damp
clothes. The thought of putting one of his robes made her shiver inside. “They’ll dry.” Aaron shrugged. “Suit yourself.” Sasha walked towards the wall. It was covered with pictures. Pictures of him in his military years, his early law enforcement years, and his family. She touched a picture of him and an older man. “That’s my dad.” Aaron said handed her the tea. “Thanks,” she said. “You look a lot like him.” “Yeah, but I sure as hell don’t act like him.” Aaron said drinking some of his champagne. “He couldn’t have been that bad of a dad.” Sasha said. “Bad? More like terrible. He spoiled my other siblings, but me he treated like shit.” “Oh come on Aaron- “ “I’m serious Sasha.” Aaron said. “I’m my
father’s lastborn. I’ve accomplish more than any of my siblings ever did and the least thing he could do is show some appreciation. Some respect.” Sasha put her tea on the end table walking to touch his face. John Cunnington was a
cold man. He didn’t even care about his youngest son enough to even respect him. She finally understood why Aaron acted the way he is. It’s because of his father. How he had treated him all those grueling years, but it made him the man he is today. “As I can see now, Blood may be thicker than water, expect love.” He drew a finger into his mouth. Sasha gasped. Sighing, she somehow found it in herself to muster the words. “You were right about my clothes. They are wet. Why don’t you take them off?” Aaron arched a brow. “That knot on your head is starting to affect you. Making you talk crazy.” “Maybe it’s not the knot.” Sasha said. “Maybe it’s me being me.” She sighed. “We both been through a lot recently and much needed time was wasted. Perhaps, I want to share that time with you.” She moved into Aaron, and this time she asked him with her lips. Groaning, he caught her to him and made her feel as if she was drowning in that kiss. Suddenly, her head was whirling, she was whirling, and he was dancing her back against the wall. He pinned her there with his lips, his hands too busy seeing to her request. He unzipped her trousers removing first her clothing, then his own. His kisses traveled along her jaw and down her neck. He caught a nipple with his teeth, then drew it into his mouth. The sensation was so sweet that a sound of pleasure caught at the back of her throat. But that small pleasure was easily
