It's been 5 months. Maya still hasn't woken up, but Lucas hasn't lost hope. Maybe Maya thinks hope is for suckers, but Lucas believes that hope is what gets us through the hard times.

She has to wake up soon; She has to. She's my life. I've been visiting her everyday this whole time. Even Rylie is starting to lose hope, but she still visits with me sometimes. Stupid Missy Bradford. She kissed me which made Maya run out. But I can't stop thinking; who texted Maya? And what did they say? Why did her and Rylie come to Farkle's?

POV Farkle:
Lucas is still crazy about Maya. She's been unconscious for 5 months now. How does he still have hope? I want Maya to wake up too, but it's been so long and she's not even showing signs of progress. It's hard to visit her, and to see all the pain that she's in.

POV RYLIE:
I would like to say that this accident was the hardest for me, because it is really difficult, but I know that Lucas is having a harder time than I am. He doesn't seem to be able to comprehend the whole situation. I am truly starting to lose hope. If we lose Maya, I hope my best friend rests easy. Ring power, thunder, lightening. Hurry up and recover so we don't have to worry anymore.

***Back at the hospital***

POV LUCAS:
I just got out of school and I'm on my way to the hospital. I need to see my baby. I ran the whole way. Even up the stairs. Room 216. I opened the door with balloons in one hand and flowers in the other. As soon as I looked in the room, a miracle happened...
