"How's Christopher?" I asked Matthew as he walked through the door. I was sitting on the couch, playing with a rubiks cube.
"Still doesn't remember. But, he's working now!" Matthew explained.
"Oh, great! Where, though?"
"Outskirts of heaven. Not in hell, that's for sure." Matthew chuckled and sighed," I'm just happy to know he's okay. He never told me about that. I had no clue!"
"Hey, it's fine! You start liking this guy, so you scare him off by saying you're turing demon? Not what I would do. I think it just shows he loves you." I said as I messed up an entire side. I forrowed my brows and tossed it behind my back.
"Well, I'm gonna go see him." I said as I stood up.
"Why?" Matthew asked.
"Reasons. I wanna talk with him."
"You're not gonna scare him away, are you?"
"Definitely not what I want!" I reassured him, waving my hands to emphasize my sincerity.
"Okay... Pick a sandwhich or something up for me." Matthew said as he sat down.
"Oki-doki!" I said as I headed for the door.
"Hokey-pockey!" He said back as I walked out. Just a thing we do, derives from when we were alive.
"Hey." Christopher looked up to see me. He put down what he was working on and flipped up his mask.
"Hey! Wasn't Matt just here?"
"He lets you call him Matt?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Oh, no reason..." I twirled my hair a little, "Yeah, he was. He told me you were working again, and I need to ask you a favor."
"What is it"? He asked, leaning on his table.
"Can you make me artificial wings?" I asked," I mean, I've been thinking about it, and after some research I totally put together some plans."
"This is a doodle of the princess-" I quickly flipped it over and laughed lightly.
"That's not it. I got bored on the way here."
"Gotcha." He examined it," I don't see why this wouldn't work... But, Aetherite is very expensive. This would cost a whole lot."
"Cost you your life?" I suggested.
He sighed," Yeah, I guess so... Don't think this'll work after this. I do this for a living!" He pointed at me.
"I don't! I just wanna fly again! I could for like half an hour before they got cut off." I trailed off.
"Well, okay, I'll tell you when they're ready." He said," Now, please leave. I have other work to do."
I made an OK symbol and left.
"Hey, Matthew." I tossed him his sandwich and sat next to him.
"Woah, I was just kidding, where did you find a sandwich?" Matthew asked, biting into the sandwich.
"This is heaven. Why wouldn't there be sandwiches?" I explained as I leaned back.
"What did you need to talk with Chris about?" Matthew asked between his bites.
"Oh, nothing."
"It was something. I just know." Matthew pushed.
"Yeah, of course, but it's a surprise." I said, smiling at him.
