"WAKE UP!" Matthew shouted in my ear," There's a park down the road and I wanna go meet some people!"

I groaned," Alright! Alright!" Holy scoot. Scoot. Oh yeah.

I groggily got up and shook my head. I wasn't tired anymore. Oh yeah, this is heaven, I don't have to be tired. I stood up on my feet and stretched.

"Alright, let's go." I stated as I walked out the door. Matthew dashed in front of me to kead the way to the park. I decided to fly, though it did hurt.

When we got there I fell to my knees. It hurt so bad.

"Are you alright?" A girl asked. She had a deathhawk type hairstyle, but I assumed she was still a good person. She was tan, but not too tan. Just enough to compliment her dark hair color.

"Yeah, I'm fine. My wings just hurt..." I said, looking at the ground.

"Hurt? I haven't heard that word in a while," She turned behind her and called to another girl behind her, "Hey Tereasi! This girl says her wings hurt!"

The other girl walkes over and peered at my wings," Odd. Nothing is supposed to hurt here." The red haired one kneeled down and lightly lifted my wings. She had dark red hair, and her skin was pale. She had this look of 'I know what I'm doing'.

"They're heavy. Heavier than usual. Is that a new comer, also?" She pointed at Matthew.

"Yeah. My twin brother Matthew died with me in a car accident." I muttered.

"Matthew, come here. I want to look at your wings." Tereasi beckoned. Matthew came over and put his back to her. She repeated what she did with me, and stood up, shaking her head.

"We should get them to a doctor. That isn't normal, right Pepper?" Tereasi asked. Pepper nodded.

"Well, I think the closest doctor is over," Pepper scanned the area," That way." She pointed Northeast.

"We will walk you." Tereasi offered. I shrugged and pulled Matthew along with me.

"So, uh, who are you guys?" I asked awkwardly.

"I am Tereasi. This is my partner, Pepper. We died of old age in our sleep."

"Our hearts stopped at the same time! How romantic~," Pepper was swooning for Tereasi slightly. Tereasi laughed and pulled Pepper closer.

"Yep."

"But I thought that god hates gays?" I asked.

"No. He doesn't hate anyone," Tereasi explained.

"That's kinda his thing." Pepper finished.

"Oh. That make's sense, I guess." I was honestly a little embarrassed for not knowing this, I mean, I am in heaven now.

"Well, there is is!" Pepper exclaimed while pointing at the hospital. It looked very run down and broken. I suppose no one has been inside there for a while now. We all walked inside. A bored nurse at the front desk perked up and looked at us worriedly.

"Yes?" She asked, frightened. She looked at us, possibly trying to see if we had any cuts.

"Their wings hurt," Pepper explained.

"They are also heavier then usual. They said that they felt a stinging sensation as they flew," Tereasi contributed.

"Well, let me a have a look," The nurse rushed us into a hospital room and sat Matthew and I down on the examination table. She walked behind us and looked at our wings.

"I'm going to x-ray your wings. It may tingle a bit, we haven't used this in a while. Not since-" Tereasi cut her off by coughing. The nurse nodded and went back to the machinery.

"What? Why did you cut her off?"

"Mind your own business." Tereasi stated bluntly.

"We don't want you to worry, you're new here. We don't want to scare you on your second day." Pepper explained softly," Back then was scary business. We don't need more people to know."

"Please, Ryna. If they're not comfortable, then you should just stop." Matthew was the good twin. I was never really good, but here I am!

I felt the tingles, then a gasp from the nurse," I-I-I-It's just like a hundred years ago!" The nurse backed away. Teresi pushed past Pepper and looked at the x-ray. Tereasi mumbled something under her breath.

"Is this going to be like last time?" Tereasi asked the nurse. She shook her head.

"If we can get the infected area off them in time, nothing will come of it. Good thing that the demon who did this was clearly not very skilled." Tereasi said.

"Or they were very skilled," Inquired Pepper," Doing this on two newcomers? They probably had no clue that hurting wings is wrong."

"What? Whatever! I don't care! Just tell me what is happening!" I demanded.

"A demon cursed you, probably while you were sleeping. The only way to reverse this is to cut off your wings. Both of you." The nurse explained," It wouldn't hurt, but you would never get them back."

"It's no wings or demon, sweet pea." Pepper said.

"I don't want to be a demon. I want mine amputated." Matthew said confidently.

"And you, Ryna?" The nurse asked. Shd probably heard Matthew say my name earlier.

I gulped and nodded," Alright. You promise it won't hurt?" I asked.

"Promise." The nurse assured.

"Okay." That was my final answer. She picked up a big clippers, and brought them to the end of my wings. I held my breath and closed my eyes.
