Matthew wasn't quite the same after that. He was so devistated Christopher was like that and so devistated he couldn't be there with him as he healed.
I sighed,"Matt?"
"Yeah, Ryna?"
"Do you wanna go visit him?"
"I don't think they would let me."
"We could at least give it a shot?"
He looked up quickly before staring at the floor again," I just... It's scary to think we could've wound up like that."
"Well, we didn't, though!" I tried to sound enthusiastic, but he was right. It looked painful and terrifying. Not being able to stop yourself from destroying others. His skin looked fried, too. Owch.
"Hey, guys." Pepper appeared in the doorway with Tereasi.
"Hey." I responded," What's up?"
"Well, we just wanted to tell Matthew that Christopher is doing better."
"Really?" Matthew asked excitedly.
"His skin is back to normal, and he seems to be coming back from that nightmare." Tereasi informed us.
"Can we go see him?!" Matthew asked, practically jumping out of his seat.
Pepper and Tereasi exchanged glances as if to ask eachother for the right answer.
"We're not sure," Tearsi said," He is fighting very hard to come back, and interruptions aren't really what he needs."
Matthew's face dropped. It broke my heart.
"Tell him he needs to come back. Right now." I demanded.
"That's not how comas work..." Pepper nervous laughed and rubbed the back of her head.
"Coma?" Matthew asked worriedly.
"Something that is coma-like...?" I asked. Tereasi nodded. I sighed heavily and weakly smiled.
The phone started ringing. We have a phone?
"Um, hello?" I asked into the phone. It was an old style one, but it worked surprisingly well.
"Is this the household of Ryna and Matthew?"
"Yeah..."
"Christopher is up! He wants Matthew," The voice on the other line said happily.
"Oh! Thanks! I can send Matthew over to the hospital?"
"Yep!"
"Okaythanksbye!" I hung up the phone,"Matt! Christopher is up!"
Matthew's face lit up and he ran out the door. I ran after him, you know, so he doesn't get too out of hand.
Matthew burst through the doors of the hospital, startling the reseptionist.
"Oh! Matthew, come on in." She said with a smile as she led us to Christopher's room.
"Christopher?" Matthew asked.
"Hey," Christopher smiled.
"Do you remember?"
"Remember what?"
"Like, when your body went limp and stuff?" Matthew fidgeted with his hands and shitfted his weight.
"That was a blur... Why?" Matthew's face dropped again, clearly sad af. That's the only way to describe it. Af.
"Oh, no reason. I just wanted to know what was going through your mind..." Matthew laughed," But I guess a lot was happening, and you can't control what you're saying..."
"Oh, no, I remember what I said." Christopher reassured," I don't remember when I was, you know, kinda dead."
"So wait... Yeah, never mind." Matthew rubbed his neck.
"I'm gonna go." I half smiled and slid out of the room.
Now that he's awake, I got some plans for him.
[Blah blah blah, it wont let me publish so I'm hoping if I write more it'll stop being stubborn k thanks for reading bye]
