Coincidence and Strength

~*~

"Red velvet cake and hot chocolate for Quinn?" The barrista called out, "please present your receipt at the claiming area. Thank you."

I stood up from my seat and claimed my food. I'm currently here in the bakery that Renné owns. This bakery isn't just a simple shop with sweets and pastries, they also offer a wide selection of drinks—not as large as Starbucks' though.

I took a bite from the red velvet cake. It's delicious as always. I've been visiting this cafè for a few days now. Their food is just as good as other coffee shops but it's way cheaper here.

I was shot back into reality when my phone vibrated.

Are you in that café again?

Yup still avoiding him

Ever since Skye told me that he wasn't going to stop, he actually proved his word. He was visiting me almost every single day. He said that he wanted to win me back again. But the problem is that I don't want him to be more than a friend. Yes, I am comfortable when I'm with him but that doesn't mean that we can be together as a couple again.

"Excuse me, hey," a soft male voice made me snap out of my revere, "may I sit here?"

Currently busy on my phone, I simply nodded. I felt him sit across me though.

I put my phone down and took a sip from my hot chocolate.

"I guess you don't like coffee anymore?" The guy spoke again.

"Ian?" I responded, my eyes blank.

"Haven't you noticed my handsone face?" He teased.

"Oh my God," I shouted softly, "you're here!"

I jumped out of my seat and hugged him. It's been so long. He hugged me back and poked my waist, making me jump back.

"What the fuck?!" I quietly cursed.

"Same spot," and then he winked. Oh goodness, I'm too young to die.

"Disgusting!" I punched his arm.

"I'm surprised your hand isn't broken," he smirked. I hate it when he does that. He looks too good.

"I'm surprised you're still alive," I sarcastically replied.

"What happened to you?" He asked while I was chewing on the big chunk of cake.

I almost spit the food out of my mouth, "what happened to you?" I crossed my arms to my chest.

"Hey baby, I'm done," a girl patted Ian's shoulder.

"Oh, sorry Quinn but I have to go," he stood up, "it was nice seeing and talking to you again."

I smiled, "yeah, see you around."

But I'm still not quite sure whether that smile was genuine or fake.
