"How was your first night in New York?" Aaron was leaning over Alex who had, apparently fallen asleep on the floor in a strange room that he didn't remember, "I've got all your stuff in your room and-"
"My room? New York? I-I.. what? Man, my head hurts."
"You totally drank too much last night," Aaron laughed, "but it's alright. This is your new college! Journalism, remember? New York!"
"Did I do anything... regrettable last night?" Alex began to worry.
"Hmm... not that I know of and I was with you guys pretty much the whole time. You might have ran around in your underwear but that was hilarious."
"Whose 'you guys'?"
"You and John, of course. I, personally, think you make a cute couple," Aaron smirked.
Alex went deep red, "I'm not even gay, so, I don't... I don't think so, no."
"Suit yourself. Classes start Monday morning at 7. Oh, also, your roommate is in the bathroom. Good luck."
"My... roommate? Aaron, don't leave! Burr! And... he's gone. Who's my roommate?" He looked around, puzzled. That's when his roommate stepped out of the bathroom wearing only a towel. He yelled when he saw Alex on the floor, "You're my roommate? Oh my god, oh my god."
He turned and ran the opposite direction in what Alex hoped was where his bedroom was.
"I'm roommates with John Laurens. This could not get any more interesting," he held his head in his hands and sighed. Minutes later when John returned, fully clothed, he said, "So, roommates! This'll be... so fun!"
"Yeah," Alex agreed nervously. All he could think about were Aaron's words before he left.
"You and John, of course. I, personally, think you make a cute couple."
It just had to be him, right?
"You okay down there?" John cocked an eyebrow at his roommate on the floor.
"Just fine," Alex hoisted himself off the floor, "where's the bedroom?"
"Are you implying there's one bed?"
"I-" Alex went deep red, "I just wanna know where I'm sleeping."
John giggled and Alex felt a weight lift off his chest, "Teasing, bro. I'm that way, you're the opposite way. The good news is that it's just us. No other roommates."
"And the bad news?"
John bit the corner of his lower lip and smirked at Alex, "It's just us."
