Seokjae cleared his throat as he blinked back his tears before calling out to Jin. "Yah, look at me". The latter complied, broken and abashed. "Jae, I lost her because of how stupid I am and how big of a hypocrite I am." Jin uttered, ultimately crying his heart out and enclosed Eunji's scarf in his arms. "Babe...I'm so sorry." Jae's heart broke but he also knew that Jin had brought it upon himself.

How could he cheat on such a beautiful, loving, intelligent, and perfect girl? He had the best, yet he threw it away for something less than ideal. 'Jae, there's no reason for you to get so upset! She's Jin's girlfriend, Jin chose to hurt her, that's their business.' His mind scolded him yet his fists clenched at the image of Eunji with tears rolling down her cheeks.

Jin noticed Jae slipping into his room whilst shaking his head, only served to sadden Jin even more. Knowing he had not only disappointed the love of his life but his dear brother, too. "Eunji, I hope you'll be able to move on. You deserve better." He murmured while gently brushing his hand against the smooth texture of the scarf that Eunji had knitted for him, always wrapping him up with love and care whenever he wore it.

Jae, on the other hand, found himself staring at a pic of Eunji on IG; the most beautiful girl he had ever laid his eyes on and the girl that was thrown away by his brother. 'Jae, what are you doing? She....'

Eunji lied perfectly still on her bed while staring at the ceiling, the knowledge of Jin cheating seemed to have yet to sink in but that didn't stop the pain from disrupting her sleep. "What did I do wrong?" Eunji questioned her best friend, Hye-Jin. "You didn't do anything wrong, Eun. Jin's at fault for cheating on you, he threw the diamond away for a piece of rock." Hye-jin murmured, meant to soothe Eunji, but it only caused another waterfall to burst in the latter's eyes.

"I hate that even after I caught him cheating, I miss him more than ever." Eunji confessed, tightly gripping onto Jin's hoodie, his scent only making her craving for him grow. 'I hate the fact that I love you, Kim Seokjin.' Her mind screeched in anger, hoping somehow he heard her and felt guilty for his actions. Because she felt like crap even though the one committing the mistake wasn't her.

'How did I come to have lost you? Why wasn't I enough? Was I ever enough throughout our relationship?' Her mind questioned, terrified that her insecurities have risen, making her doubt her self-worth and whether anyone actually loves her. Jin made her insecurities nonexistent throughout the duration of their relationship, how ironic is it that he's also the one that brought her insecurities back to life.

"I don't want to think of him but I can't stop, it hurts. Help..." Eunji begged as she wept whilst Hye-jin gathered her into a hug, patting the latter's back. "Shh...I know, I know. Just let it all out, you'll feel better afterwards, Eun. Although, I really think he doesn't deserve you tears."

Hye-Jin was certainly shocked to say the least, when Eunji broke the news to her. Kim Seokjin was either the cruelest guy alive or he was the best actor ever, capable of stringing everyone along into believing he was a gentleman. But one thing was for sure, Hye-jin was going to knock some sense into the guy that chose to hurt her best friend.

"Come on, Eun. Let's go eat something, I don't want you to be sulking in bed over an idiot like him." Hye-Jin cooed as she scooped Eunji up into her arms, causing the figure to crack a grin. "You're the best, Hye." Eunji mumbled as she settled herself into her best friend's arms.

The two ate simple pancakes, eggs, and sausage with orange juice as they watched TV. "Thanks for spending the past few weeks with me, I don't know how I would've been able to function like a sane person without you." Eunji muttered and pulled Hye-jin into a suffocating hug that the latter reciprocated.
