Hye-jin was more than doubtful of Jin's arrival back into Eunji's life after what he had done. Meanwhile, Eunji hated to admit it but she was dying to have Jin back with her, she hated how she realized that she missed him. Missed someone to call yours and vice versa, missed someone holding you close and sealing your lips in a kiss to embellish their affection for you.

Seokjae smiled as he chatted with her through text, finally acknowledging just how much he cared about her, although he already knew it before, the more time spent with her only increased his love. Her heart that was bruised and scarred under each layer with betrayal and regret, he wished to heal and erase every single scar that marred her golden and large heart.

The two decided to live as roommates seeing as how neither of them had anywhere else to go, Jae's heart beaten wildly whenever he would be rummaging through the fridge and see Eunji walk in with her hair up and with a face mask on. 'She seems to be comfortable around me.'

He thought, hoping somehow that meant she would come to him, or in her mind, come back to Jin. 'Why didn't you tell her the truth at the start?!' He scolded himself as he stared at her longingly, wanting nothing more than to run up to her and wrap his arms around her and profess his love. But, if done so, she would hate him for the deceit and for being denied the chance of seeing Jin before he died.

Eunji frowned when she noticed him lingering in the fridge but neither taking things or putting things in. 'What is he doing?' She thought as she skipped over, his scent reminding her of how it had once been the essence of home for her which led to wrapping her arms around his waist.

"Yah, are you spacing out?" She inquired playfully as he looked down at her adoringly, how his head leaned in made her expect a kiss, but she turned out to be wrong as her eyes quickly flitted open as he chuckled. "Seems like someone was expecting a kiss?" He teased as he stroked her cheek with his large hand, his smile making her heart skip a beat.

'Wait, why did I close my eyes when I thought he was going to kiss me? No, no, Eunji, you can't give in like that. You have to make him work for your forgiveness.' She reminded herself as she jumped away and slipped to her room. She scolded herself the whole way as Jae chuckled to himself. 'She's so cautious of love now.' He thought in dismay but at the same time, her tiny figure made her all the more endearing to him.

The whole time Eunji tried to do Yoga, her mind would flash with bursts of reminder at how close she had come to kissing Jin again, making her focus divert until Jae stepped in with an aromatic plate of roasted kale and broccoli. She leaped over to him with sparkling eyes, the sun couldn't compare to its brightness as she impulsively pecked his cheek.

"Thank you!!" She cheered as she began gulping the delicacy down her throat, his smile only widened when she offered him a piece using her own fork. But, he wanted something a little more than that. He nibbled on the piece of broccoli that she bit down on, making her eyes widen like saucers.

"Yah~!! You could have gotten one from the plate!" She whined as he smirked and shook his head. "No, this is better." He whispered, his breath fanning her lips as she breathed deeply and slowly, his scent made her weaker and weaker. "Would it be...alright....if I kissed you?" He breathed out as she hesitantly nodded, against her better judgment.

Jae's calloused hand was different from Jin's smooth ones which brought up her suspicions once again, but Jae's lips sealed hers gently as he cupped her face, his lips tasted sweet. 'Everything about him seems to have changed.' Eunji wondered, but she also found herself wrapping her arms around his neck. He smiled at her lips before deepening the kiss, as her mind screeched for her to reconsider what she was doing. "Jin, could I trust you again?" She mumbled, pulling away from the kiss, out of breath as Jae stared at her lovingly.

"I'd spend my whole life if you'd let me prove that you can trust me with your heart once again." He confessed, pulling Eunji's hand and putting it on his chest to let her feel his heartbeat.
