My One and Only

Chapter XIX

I was awoken by discomfort from the photon I had just slept on. When I looked over at Hailey she was sound asleep like a fucking rock. Frustrated that I couldn't go back to sleep, I checked my phone.

I had three messages, one from Jake, one from Hunter, and one from one of the last people I thought would even text me, my sister.

I decided to open Hunter's first because it was probably the only text message that wouldn't make me mad or upset.

Hey I was wondering if you would like to maybe hangout sometime this week?

I couldn't help but smile. I then texted back with: No problem how does friday sound?

Next I opened Jake's message: I think you should makeup with Mikey and I know I say that almost every time you two fight but this is your best friend we're talking about here what do I tell you two every time you get into a stupid argument

How did I not know it was going to be about Mikey

I decided to text back with : Leave me alone Jake I'm on "vacation"

Lastly I opened my sisters message: When were you going to tell me you were in town?

I didn't know what she was up to but it didn't seem good.

Me: Didn't think it mattered to you

Her: Well it does and I'm coming to get you be ready in 20

Me: Now why would I wanna do that?

Her: I have some explaining to do just be ready

I sighed, I had no clue what was going to happen

Me: I'll be ready

I then locked my phone and crept to the bathroom to start getting ready for the day. 

I looked in the mirror before turning on the water and  getting in the shower.

A million thoughts began to run through my head as I kept thinking about all the things that occurred over the past few days. I felt myself getting anxious about what would happen when my sister got here.

Eventually after showering and doing my hair, I got dressed and I was finally ready. When I went back to Jake's room I noticed Hailey was finally awake.

"Where are you going" she asked rubbing her eyes.

"My sister is picking me up" I said putting on my shoes.

"For what?" she said looking at me weirdly.

"She said she needs to explain herself whatever that means" I said walking out the room.

By the time I walked downstairs I noticed my sister talking to Jake's mom in the driveway. I rolled my eyes and opened the front door to see what she was up to.

"Hey sis you ready to go?" she asked smiling at me.

"Sure" I responded.
