Meet again

"I see your still upset." Toph said with a sigh.

"You abandoned me a year before my father died!" I yelled annoyed.

"How was I suppose to know he would be killed?" She asked softly.

I glared at her before walking away to talk to Lin.

"I understand how you feel she still is the same and doesn't seem to care." Lin said sadly.

"Yea I know." I said with a tear falling.

We quickly left to rescue them all and then we got caught. I attacked them with Lin and then watched as Toph stopped them all.

"Thanks mom." Lin said after we got away.

We quickly made it back to republic city. My son quickly ran up and hugged me tightly.

"Mama your back!" He squealed.

"Yep how was training with Tenzin?" I asked with a smile.

"It was awesome! You think I'll ever be as good as he is?"

"Of course Lao you are the best already." I said kissing his forehead.

We walked into the room to see everyone waiting. I saw Zaheer smile at me and I stop in my tracks at the sight of him.

"Isn't that the guy who kidnapped Suva?" Toph asked annoyed.

"Well yea but he has done his time and I believe that he is rehabilitated. So it's safe for him to be here." Korra explained.

I saw Zaheer look at the ground and I slowly walked over to him.

"I want to talk to Zaheer for a few seconds.... alone." I said looking at Lin and my mother.

I walked out with Zaheer close behind me. After I knew we where some where quiet and they couldn't hear us I quickly turned around and pressed my lips against his. He smirked as he pulled me close and kissed me back. I pulled away and sighed happily.

"So you are no longer a prisoner." I said with a smile.

"No I am free for as long as I don't attack the avatar...... Korra made a deal with me when she learned that Lao is mine..... he looks so much like me, but you where right he has your eyes." He said happily.

"We should go back we still have to fight Kuvira." I said with a sigh.

"Yea your right..... I love you." He said kissing me once more.

We then went back and started getting prepared. I quickly had my son leave with Pema who took Rohan with them. I helped Korra beat Kuvira and then I smiled happily as I walked over to my sister.

"Well we won." Lin said with a laugh.

"I should talk to her shouldn't I?" I asked looking at our mother.

"You and her have a past.... she left you when you where young.... now after about twenty years..... I understand why it's hard for you." She said hugging me softly.

"I want to have her in Lao's life.... but I'm scared she will abandon him like she did me." I said with a sigh.

"I think you should also I'm happy you and Zaheer are together."

"I haven't told Lao yet..... I hope he will be happy to have Zaheer back." I said with a sigh.

"His father home what kid doesn't want that?"

I smiled at her as I walked over to Zaheer who was talking to Tenzin. Zaheer turned to see me and sent me a small smile. I smiled back as he wrapped a arm around me and I leaned my head on his shoulder.

"I'm happy you two are a couple and also if you hurt her I will end you. That girl is like a sister to me." Tenzin said before walking away.

I sighed as I hugged Zaheer and then we left to see Lao who was coming back. I smiled as my son ran and hugged me happily.

"Lao this is Zaheer." I said pointing at him.

"Hi." He said shyly.

"Hi Lao do you know who I am?" Zaheer asked as he crouched down to his height.

Lao shook his head no and hid his face in my shoulder.

"Lao he is your father." I said with a smile.

Lao smiled happily as he jumped up and hugged Zaheer happily. Zaheer smiled as he hugged him back and I wrapped my arms around them both. I looked at Zaheer to see him mouth I love you. I sent him a small smile and mouthed it back before leaving with him to our home.

"Suva are you alright?" Korra asked me.

"I'm fine I just had a talk with Zuko." I said softly.

"It was about your father wasn't it?" She asked sitting beside me.

"I miss him so much." I said through tears.

Korra hugged me and stayed there as I cried the whole night.
