Knight In Red Armor

I miss you already...

We departed from the castle. I put the necklace Zelda had given me on. I held Red's hand.

"So, now that Ganon is defeated, where to now?" Shadow asked.

"We return to our homes," Blue told Shadow. Red looked sad at that. I leaned over and kissed his cheek. He smiled and walked closer to me. I smiled. How did I get so lucky to get the hero? How did I manage to make him love me? There wasn't anything special about me except for the fact that I share the Triforce of Courage with them. I let out a small sigh. I wasn't the best person but I wasn't complaining for having the hero.

"Earth to Samantha," Shadow snapped his fingers in front of my face.

"Huh? What?" I said shaking my head to snap out of my thoughts.

"Tetra is talking to you," Shadow said.

"Yes, Tetra?" I said.

"The portal is open again we have to go back home!" She exclaimed. Home?! This was all too soon! I just got with Red. Oh dear Nayru, not this please don't make me leave.

"But...but wha?! I can't leave now, I can't leave now!" I said practically whining.

"I know how you feel, but you have to! You don't have a choice," Tetra said. I sighed. I stepped forward, letting go of Red's hand. I sure was going to miss Red. I looked back before going to the portal. Instead of seeing Red's happy bright shining blue eyes, I saw sad, tearful eyes of the red-clad hero. Shadow put his hand on his shoulder.

"I have two telegrams. Think of the person you want to talk to and she will pop up and the same goes for you, Samantha!" Shadow handed us the telegram. I looked at it and then at Red. I half smiled but it disappeared a minute after. I sighed. Red, my hero my sweet hero. I was sad. Sad that I had to leave so soon. I walked forward and Red did the same. I pulled Red into a hug and I kissed the top of his head.

"Be careful okay?" I told Red.

"I will!" He exclaimed but he didn't smile.

"I will look after him," Blue said.

"Thank you," I nodded. I sighed and let go of Red.

"So I guess this is goodbye, then," I said my voice on the verge of cracking. I looked at my feet.

"Apparently so, my dear," Ezlo said. I looked over at Vaati. He was my best friend. Ezlo was pretty cool too. Vaati wasn't looking at me either. As he wasn't paying attention to me I snuck up to Vaati and gabe him the hugest hug possible.

"Thank you Vaati, for being a very good best friend," i felt him move his head to my shoulder and I heard a small muffled sniffle. He pulled away and undid his cape then wrapped around me.

"For a great friend," He said in a cracked voice. I noticed the tears in his eyes. I gave Vaati one more hug and I gave Ezlo a small hug too. As I pulled back I heard Red call my name. I was aready by the portal by this time.

"Samantha wait!" Red said as I stepped one foot through the portal. I stopped and turned back to be tackled by one of the biggest hugs Red has ever given me. I felt my heartbreak. He buried his face in my neck.

"...I love you! Don't forget that Samantha," I felt the tears from him crying. I held him close to me.

"I never will forget it, just like I never will forget you, I love you too, my Red hero," I planted a kiss on his cheek. He pulled away from the hug and took off his hat.

"Here take this I don't need it you have it," He shoved his hat into my hands. The poor boy was in tears.

"Now take it and go home! Go home!" Red said in nothing but tears streaming down his cheeks. Blue and the others helped support Red as I stepped through the portal and it closed for good. I turned away from the portal. I walked with my friends back to our home. I froze the first few feet away and turned around. I thought I saw Red but I guess I was losing my mind. I walked forward and I could hear Red's voice in my head along with Vaati's voice.

"...Take this, I don't need it you have it,"
"...For a great friend." I took off my pink hat and replaced it with Red's cap that he gave me. I sighed once more. I looked at the telegram Shadow handed to me and Red. It was the shape of a hand-held mirror. I hugged it close. I miss Red already.
