It took my mom a little while to come into my room. I'd figured she was putting Ruth down to sleep. She opened the door and shut it leaning up against it. I patted the bed and motioned for her to come closer. She quickly plopped down onto the bed making my head fall onto her tummy.
"This summer I wanna go to Korea, just me, well Cyrus is coming too but just us." I sighed.
"That's fine Yoona, but why'd we have to talk like this?" she questioned.
"I didn't want Mi-Hyun to hear. I knew how much she'd cry so I just am gonna wait to give her my note the day I leave."
She nodded, "So...when do you leave?" she asked.
"Tomorrow night." I replied.
"Alright, have fun, but not too much fun. I don't want my Yoona coming back with a bun in te oven." she gave me a worried look.
"Umma! You don't think I'm that kind of girl do you?!" I hopped up.
"Just being safe." she winked.
"Aigoo..." I sighed just as she left the room. I changed into my pajamas put a movie in the DVD player. I took out my phone and texted Cyrus that I can go and to be ready before tomorrow night. Before the movie ended I fell asleep in the middle of texting Cyrus back.
In the morning I pulled my pre-packed suitcase to the side of my bed. I printed out my ticket, grabbed Ruth's note and laid it on my desk. I then packed up my laptop and placed it next to my suitcase. After I finished prepping everything I got ready for the day. When I went downstairs my mom, dad, and sister were all at the table.
"Woah, breakfast together? It must be a miracle." I batted my eyelashes.
My mom shook her head, "Ya, hurry and eat with us, we have to leave for work soon."
I shrugged and slid into the chair. My plate was filled with eggs, bacon, two pancakes, and a small cup of fruit salad; my mom must've woken up extra early to cook this.
"Gomawo umma." I mumbled with my mouth full.
"Ya, don't talk with your mouth full, and cheonmane." she replied.
When finished with breakfast they left and I was left to watch Ruth.
"Ya, Mi-Hyun, what do you want to do today?" I asked putting the dishes in the sink.
"I wanna go to the park! Can oppa come too?"
She said hopping out of her seat.
"Sure," I said pulling out my phone, "I'll ask him now."
I texted Cyrus asking if he could come to the park with us. I went back upstairs so I could change my clothes. While I was fixing my hair I got a text from him saying he was on his way.
Ruth popped into my room holding the same orange ribbon she had yesterday.
"Unni! Can you tie this for me?" she said putting her back to me.
I nodded and tied a little bow around the ponytail she had separated from the rest of her hair.
"Gomawo." she kissed my cheek.
"No problem little one." I patted her head.
