Quest For Oppa

Headed to Korea

When Ruth and I met Cyrus at the park she ran to give him a hug. 

"Oppa! I missed you!" she hugged his neck. 

"I missed you too Ruth." he said hugging her back.  

He put her down and she ran off to go play on the swings.  

"So have you told her yet?" Cyrus asked. 

"Tonight. I wrote her a note. I'll put it under her pillow." I explained. 

He shrugged and sighed. I guess he felt how sad she was gonna be too. 

"Oppa! Unni! Come play with me!" Ruth called from the top of the slide. 

We smiled and headed over towards the slide to go down with her.  

After about two hours of playing non-stop we all went out to eat and then headed back home. I reminded Cyrus to text me when he was completely ready. Our flight left at 10:30 tonight, I figured my sister would be sleep by then. When we got home I gave Ruth a bath and got her ready for bed. It was about 7:24 so I had quite a bit of time before I had to leave. I took a shower and got out the clothes I was flying in. When I finished changing I opened my door to find Ruth standing there. She had Monsters Inc. upside down outstretched toward me.  

"Can we watch this?" She mumbled behind the DVD.  

"Sure." I said heading down into the basement, where our entertainment room was. I put the movie in and turned on the projector our parents bought for Christmas.  

About half way into the movie Ruth fell asleep. I carried her back up the two flights of stairs into her room. I tiptoed into my room, grabbed the note and slipped it under her pillow. Along with that, I put a little gold bracelet onto her nightstand that had a little heart locket. I kissed her forehead and closed the door behind me. I had an hour before I was supposed to meet with Cyrus. He'd texted me during the movie that he was ready. I grabbed all my things out of my room and dragged them downstairs. My mom and dad were already waiting for me down there. They pulled me into a hug and kissed the top of my head.  

"Stay safe and have fun." my dad said.  

"But not too much fun." my mom interrupted.  

"Umma," I whined. "I'll be okay."  

She pulled me into another hug and cried a little.  

"Tell Ho Sook and Jae-Sun I said hi." she said.  

I nodded, "I love you guys." 

"We love you too, Yoona." they said together.  

After talking with them I drove over to Cyrus' house.  

"Dude, let's go, you're driving." I said dragging him out the door.  

"But I don't wanna!" he whined.  

I shot him a quick look causing him to straighten up.  

"Yes ma'am!" he hopped into the drivers seat.  

The ride there was silent; not even the radio was on. We boarded the plane after going through security and such. Cyrus and I ended up sitting next to each other. As soon as we took off I fell asleep.
