It was 5:34 am.You placed the little letter on your side of the bed. You were fully clothed and packed a bag. I cannot allow Chanyeol to suffer for my misery. You eyes fell on the sleeping Baekhyun and instantly you felt a sting in your chest. This is not fair. We could be so happy if fate would allow us to be together. You sighed silently before bending down to press a light kiss to his forehead. "I love you, Baekhyun." You heard a shuffling noise as you closed the door behind you. Quickly you hurried down the stairs and exited the house. The fresh breeze may ease the burning in your eyes. You opened the gate enough so your car would fit through. Carefully minding that it would not make too much noises. You sat down in your car and started the motor. This will be a long ride.
After a six hours non-stop ride you finally arrived the edge of the town. You were exhausted. Besides leaving Baekhyun had already cost you so much energy, you were also sleep-deprived since you haven't slept at all the last night. Additionally you tried to come up with a plan the whole car ride. What you wanted to say to explain the situation. Maybe he would understand and accept your decisions. What a naive thought. But you wanted to be naive and believe that there was still a little left from the Jongdae you knew.
You checked your face in the carwindow as you exited your car. Dark circles had become apparent under your eyes. I look like a zombie. Not that it would be important how I look.
"Miss Y/L/N", someone called out your name. You turned around to see a rather small guy approaching you.
"Yeah?", you answered a little surprised.
He bowed deeply before holding something towards you."I should hand you this. Please follow the instructions." Hesitantly you took the folded piece of paper out of his hand. They guy bowed again and jogged away. You looked after him for a little. Then your attention focused on the paper so you unfolded it.
"My dear Y/N, Finally you arrived. I will meet you in the big office building opposite to the hotel. Just come to the fifth floor and then go right. I am waiting in the conference room at the end of the corridor. I am looking forward to see you."
You looked to the other side of the street and inspected the building suspiciously. Then you sighed out loud. Come on Y/N! You can do this! You started walking and only now you noticed how packed the street was. All around you were people crossing the street and waiting cars with roaring motors. You looked into some of their faces. Some were neutral, some looked stressed but most of them seemed happy. Oh how you wished you could switch with one of them. You would rather take all their worries then being in this situation.
You ignored the man who offered to open you the door and pushed it open yourself. You headed straight towards the elevator and pressed the button with the 5 on it.
"Ahh Y/N. Why am I not surprised to see you here? Always stubborn and so duty bound. That is how I know my beloved Y/N." Jongdae greeted you and raised from the chair on the other side of a big table. He came closer and opened his arms widely as a greeting gesture. You took a couple of steps back.
"I want you to free Chanyeol now! I am here just as you wished!", you demanded with a firm voice.
"Oh why so snappy? Haven't you missed me even a little?", he acted hurt.
"Jongdae...you gotta understand that Baekhyun and I...we are together...I love him. I only came because you forced me. My feelings for Baekhyun are true but you are right I will not allow that someone noninvolved has to suffer."
Immediately Jongdae's cheeky grin disappeared and you spotted the pulsing vein on his neck.
"I see so this is how you truely are....", his voice was filled with disgust. He planted himself threatingly in front of you. You were cornered against the wall and cursed yourself internally. You turned your head to the side to avoid his piercing gaze,
