"I'm sure as hell glad I'll never have to see that boozed up, greasy, bastard again. " My aunt muttered. We had been driving for over an hour now, most of it in silence.

"So... Aren't you excited?" My aunt asked, urging me to converse. I shrugged in reply and continued to stare out the window. It was starting to get stuffy in this small truck. All our things were in the back of the truck. We had tied it down with some rope and tossed a blanket on top of it so as not to have our things billowing away.

"You know this ride to Oregon is going to take up about two days. You can't spend the whole time glaring out the window because of the move." My aunt insisted. I glanced over at her and saw her hands were pale from gripping the wheel too hard. She wore sunglasses that covered her eyes, but I knew they were wrinkled in frustration.

"I'm not mad at you for moving." I replied. I saw my aunt relax her tensed shoulders. I continued to stare outside for the next three hours. In all that time the sun had given no sign of showing, leaving me staring out towards passing cars to a bleak sky.
