My eyes widened, and I took a step forward, wanting to embrace the small, sunny-haired boy. Before I could take a second step towards him, someone grabbed my arm, and yanked me towards them, wrapping their arms around me, successfully stopping me from going any closer. I looked up, making eye contact with Richie, who was now holding me. He shook his head, seeming to know where the scene would go. My eyes filled with tears. Somewhere inside me, I, too, knew exactly what was going to happen. I just didn't want to believe it. I hid my face in Richie's chest, inhaling sharply, trying my hardest to resist the urge to rush forward. And trying even harder not to cry.

"Where's his arm..." I whispered softly, my voice breaking. Richie shushed me gently, running his hand through my hair.

"Let Bill handle this..." he trailed off. Georgie slowly walked up to Bill.

"What took you so long...?" Georgie asked weakly, a trace of tears in his voice. Bill started breathing shakily.

"I-I-I-I was looking for you this whole time..." he said. Georgie clenched his hand around a paper boat. On the side, S.S. Georgie was inscribed.

"I was waiting the whole time." Georgie whined. "He said I could have my boat back, Billy." He said softly. Bill breathed out a laugh, a pained smile coming onto his face.

"Was she fast....?" He said, his voice even more pained than his expression. I hated hearing him like this. I hated seeing him like this.

"I couldn't keep up with it." Georgie whispered.

"She, Georgie. You call boats She." Bill said, his voice cracking. I saw his hands ball into fists, and I turned away, not wanting to look. Richie made me turn my head around.

"You need to see this..." he whispered softly into my hair.

"Take me home, Billy." Georgie said. My hands clenched Richie's shirt tightly, tears threatening to drop down my face. Georgie started to cry. "I wanna go home. I miss you, I want to be with you and Amy..." he sobbed. I whimpered. Why'd he have to say my name.... Bill started to shake his head, his tears dripping onto his shirt.

"I want more than anything for you to be home..." he whispered. He started to walk forward. "Mom...and-and dad....and Amy." He shot a quick look at me, our eyes meeting for a second. Then he turned back to Georgie, who was now arms-length away from him. "I miss you so much." He whispered.

"I love you, Billy." Georgie sobbed.

".....I love you too." Bill responded. He took a huge breath, and I heard a click, as he raised Mike's gun to Georgie's head. My eyes and mouth opened wide, and I made a sound that was a cross between a scream and a gasp. Georgie started to cry harder. Bill's face hardened into anger. "....but you're not Georgie." He said.

And then he shot him. Georgie fell back. I let out a pathetic moan, covering my mouth with my hands. Richie let me go, and I fell to my knees, tears blurring my vision. I picked my head up, my eyes meeting the unmoving body of the only kid I had ever liked. He was dead. But I knew that. Everyone was silent. Bill turned to me, and we made eye contact again. His eyes were filled with guilt. The kind of guilt you'd see on a dog after you caught them breaking something.

And then it started. Georgie started to shake violently. Bill snapped his head back towards him. His whole body shook, and he started to scream. I fell back, Beverly catching me. Georgie's arm started to grow back, but it was longer. Everyone started to freak out. What's happening to him...?! I flung my backpack off, yanking my bat out of it. Inhuman sounds came from Georgie, as his body started to grow. His legs, arms, and feet got much longer, and his clothes turned into...the clowns. I took a step back, watching Georgie spaz out in front of us. And then his head changed. He slowly sat up, his head down. Then he stood up. He was close to Bill. Really close. Too close. My eyes went wider than before.
