So we all hate Maeve because EoS. Personally, I hate Maeve more than Erawan, Tamlin, Hybern, Adarlan, or the Valg kings. I would really appreciate it if someone commented Maeve's motives. I guess in ToD they're kind of explained, but can someone clarify? Thank you. Anyway, I had this revelation about Maeve, Brannon, the wyrdkeys, and other stuff that happens in ToD. Spoilers ahead.
So quoting the Throne of Glass wiki page for Orcus it says, "...but Brannon Galathynius took them [the wyrdkeys] from her [Maeve] before she succeeded in banishing Erawan." What if Brannon hadn't stopped her? Maeve would have banished Erawan and the battle where Elena stole the lock to seal Erawan never would have happened. Mala wouldn't even have had to give up her body for the lock. The whole second Valg wars never would have happened. Aelin wouldn't be the Queen Who was Promised. Dorian would have grown up with a loving father. Brannon and Mala could have defeated Maeve too if they didn't have to deal with Erawan and co.
