I found the Middengard worm. It's called a bobbit worm and lives in the sea. It's a lot smaller than the worm, but still averages 1 metre. There are differences, obviously, but it can't see and relies on it's mouthparts to sense movement and taste the water.
I first saw the bobbit on Blue Planet II eating a lionfish. It looks exactly like I imagine the Middengard worm.
