Norzmine : insecure

Waking up you couldn't help but stare at the handsome man lying next to you as he slept with the duvet covering just over his belly button allowing you to see his bare chest. He always slept shirtless with pajama bottoms allowing you to sleep in his baggy top. Every little hair and muscle mady you smile with joy as this was the man who you knew was going to be your forever, this was a mature and commited relationship.

Rolling over you saw the alarm clock read a time that was five minutes before it was set to go off making you panic as you rushed into the bathroom. Arriving there you hurridly brushed your teeth, washed your face combed your hair and applied deoderant, sprinting back to the bed just as the first beep sounded as you laid down pretending to be asleep. You felt his muscular arm reach across and hit the alarm as he pulled it back he brushed your long brown hair with the tips of his fingers, lying over you he placed a soft kiss on your head trying to wake you from your fake slumber. "Gotta go to work babe, see ya later?" he mumbled once he heard your groan only moving when he saw your nod.

You watched him as he dressed wondering how someone so perfect would end up with someone like you, this was a thought you had nearly every second of everyday. Many others on social media had pointed it out, pointed out that you weren't pretty enough to be with him putting a strain on your relationship. You woke from your daydream by your boyfriend of seven months shout out to you "bye Jaz be back tonight" as the door slammed shut.

Walking into the bathroom you sighed as you looked, no more like glared into the mirror hating your appearance as you pulled open a draw near the sink retrieving your makeup bag. Makeup had never interested you in the slightest but ever since you had begun dating Norman it was needed, your self esteem had never been so low. That was the reason for the morning rush to try and look ok and not like a mess when he woke up and saw you.

Deciding to spend the rest of the day in his apartment in sweats watching TV you played on your phone messaging friends and playing games. Dinner time rolled around and passed without you taking notice to occupied in technology only coming up when you heard the door shut making you confused. Glancing up at the clock you realised that Norman was due home an hour ago and he was only just coming home, tears sprang to your eyes as realisation came to you that he had been cheating on you.

Standing you walked in the bedroom shutting the door so that you could slide down it, even though you suspected he was going to cheat on you it still hurt more than you could ever imagine. Of course he would find another girl, someone prettier, smarter and anything else you wasn't.

Soft knocking disturbed you from your crying as you heard his soft voice speak out "Jaz?" sucking in a deep breath you opened the door coming face to face with Normans concerned features. Looking at you he quickly pulled you into a tight hug repeatedly kissing the top of your head in a hope of comforting you. "Jazmine what's wrong?" he questioned lost only for you to roughly pull away from him and begin accussing him of cheating ang that you weren't good enough. You continued shouting until you fell to your knees breaking down, his responce was to hug you tightly and whisper how beautiful you were and that he didn;t need anyone else.

"I love you Jazmine" he mumbled making you blink up at him in shock as this was the first time he had eveer said that, he wore a half smile with happiness eveident in his eyes.

"I love you too Norman"
