Bon's POV (Referring back to Chapter 2)

After I had awkwardly figured out what the drawing had meant, I had to go and clear my mind. Maybe with recent events, I was just unknowingly thought about him. "Ugh, Shima must've just gotten into my head" I sighed outloud, kind of knowing nobody was around to here what I was saying.

It was quite nice and quiet throughout the halls. Although it normally gets cold from time to time, though gladly, it was warm enough for just a light jacket. At first, I only thought that I was going to go outside of our dorm room, but something else had already caught my attention. It was faint. . .

"Is that Rin?" My heart had raced, while my breathing scattered as I started running towards his room. I didn't care what I had to run past if it was for Rin's sake. As I was about a foot away from his and Okumura-Sensei's room, I had seen a blackish like cat race out of there. I stopped right in the middle of the hallway, and stared back at the cat. It just stared right back at me, I had just frozen there, making me accidentally forget about Rin. After a second later, the cat grew more upset, running back into Rin's room. As I followed, I saw him. . .

On the floor, unconscious in a puddle of his own blood.

"R-Rin!" I yelled, kneeling down to his side. As I picked him up, had I only realized how light he was. He started twisting and turning as well with sweat coming from his forehead. "I-I'm not a-a d-demon." He whispered faintly, as I felt like he's been yelling his heart out. I placed my hand against his head, realizing his was burning up. I had taken a deep sigh, as I removed my hand. Only making me worry after he had stopped breathing.

"Rin!"

"Rin!"

"RIN!" I yelled out, possibly hoping he had heard me. I had decided to stay calm, bringing him closer into my presence. I had shut my eyes, wishing for everything to be like it was. Secretly hoping for that light down at the end of tunnel, full of pure happiness.

In a matter of seconds, Rin had shot up, struggling to breathe. The first second where I wasn't on edge, as relief had flown through my body. "B-Bon?" His voice had broken, I wanted to say not to speak, but I couldn't push those words out of my mouth, instead I had just repeated his name. "I-I" I heard him trying to talk, but immediately giving up on his sentence. As I had to ask, I was scared for his response. "Rin, please, tell me what happened to your arm." I could also hear my voice cracking, whimpering under my fear of losing Rin.

"W-What are y-you talking a-a-about?" He struggled to push himself out of my embrace, later looking horrified at his arm. I wanted know what happened, but I didn't want to ask. All that was evidence of his injury, was the bloody knife, held in his left hand. I had let him go, completely, gently trying to inspect his arm. It hurt to see the word demon cut onto it, and nearly brought me to tears.

I had looked at him nervously. I slowly walked to their bathroom, grabbing a bare wet washcloth, and peroxide. He seemed to flinch as he saw the bottle. I definitely wasn't going to force it onto him, but hopefully he'd trust me enough to let me sterilize his arm. I walked closer to him, looking at him calmly. Surprisingly enough, he held out his injured arm, and let the peroxide run over his scars. He howled at the touch, but I saw him bite his lip, trying to act tough. . .  Which, was pretty damn cute. He looked ashamed, which if he did it himself, that could be understandable. I just never knew what he was dealing with. . .

I had lightly rubbed the washcloth over his arm, wiping the excess blood, I had noticed he kept oddly staring around the room. As i had followed his eyes, I could see he just simply didn't want to talk. I lightly chuckled as I went to grab a few bandages from the bathroom, which how clumsy Rin had seemed to be, he would have multiple in stock. As I walked back, I saw him smile happily, petting the cat that I had seen earlier. "Mind introducing me?" I had asked as he looked at me, blushing as he seemed surprised I was there. "T-This is Kuro. H-He's my f-familiar." He shyly responded, petting his head, while he meowed back. Rin started to lightly chuckle, "I love you too, Kuro"

I smiled as I sat down on the floor next to Rin. He stared at me, contemplating my thoughts."Oi, give me your arm" I calmly commanded. He looked up at me, simply nodding his head. He scooted over, giving me his injured arm. I grabbed the underside, trying my hardest not to hurt him. I lightly wrapped the bandages around his arm.

He flinched a few times, but I was glad that it didn't hurt him too much. After I had finished up the bandages, he kind of inspected his arm. Looking over the top, and even the underside. I gave a slight chuckle as it was kind of cute to see his curiosity peek. He looked at me, kind of confused, making me start to smile."B-Bon?" He twiddled his thumbs, bowing his head. "Hm?" I sounded, trying to respond."M-May I ask why Y-you were the one who spotted me? I thought Shima was here too."

"Oh, I kind of scared Shima away. He made me mad, and he knew better than to stay around me. But as I know, I'm the only one here other than you and Kuro." I gave off a gentle, caring smile. "W-Well if that t-the case, may I rest u-upon your lap?"He started blushing, as I felt the same. As I figured he's had a long day, I slowly nodded.

He smiled brightly, watching him rest his blue head lay on my lap. As he snuggled in, I had played with little strips of his royal blue hair. He pulled his arm closer to him, later falling asleep. From the eye-bags under his eyes, I'd say that this had been probably the best night's rest he's gotten in awhile. If it wasn't obvious, I knew I had to watch him. If you become a knight, it has no meaning if you don't have someone to protect. . .

I had to become his knight
