The two girls stood in the feminine section of the small pharmacy. Of course Beverly didn't want to be seen nor did she know what to buy. Which is why she brought along her older, intelligent friend.
"Well." Beverly waited for Lacey to find what she was needing.
Lacey stared at every different brand of feminine products in front of her. Finally she grabbed the brand she herself used and handed it to Beverly.
"I use these. Mainly cause my mother told me these are great. But you may need a different one if your flow is different than mine, which it may be." Beverly nodded and thanked the girl.
The red head walked into the next isle while Lacey went over to the food section. She grabbed a bag of chips and some gummy worms and made her way back to where she last saw the Marsh girl.
Instead she found Eddie, Bill and Stanley holding medical supplies and staring after Beverly who was walking away.
"Hey guys. What's up?" She asked in a cheerful voice.
"Holy shit!" Eddie jumped back dropping a box onto the floor. Lacey rolled her eyes and bent down to grab it for the boy at the same time as Stanley.
Both kids bumped heads and laughed while smiling. Lacey noticed a small pink tint of the Jewish boy's cheeks. She smiled and picked up the box, handing it back to Eddie.
"Here ya go doctor." They looked back at the counter where Beverly stood as a loud crash was heard throughout the store.
Beverly motioned for the four to leave and the boys tripped over each other trying to leave the store. Lacey shook her head but held back her smile. Before leaving she grabbed a bottle of rubbing alcohol and cotton balls to give to the boys.
She followed the boys closely behind wondering why Eddie had a bunch of medical supplies. She waited outside the door and soon enough the young Marsh girl exited with a bag holding her purchase.
"Let's go see why they had all that medical stuff." Lacey linked her arm in Beverly's and the two girls made their way to the alleyway Lacey saw the boys run into.
Bill stepped out of the alleyway and stopped in his tracks the second he saw the two girls smiling brightly.
Lacey and Beverly stopped in front of him and he smiled awkwardly happy. He pulled out a crinkled dollar and held it up.
"Um. T-th-thanks." His words made the girls smile. Beverly pulled a box of cigarettes out of her pocket and winked at the stuttering boy.
